[2025 Updated] BlueStars 55+7.5 uF 55/7.5 MFD 370 or 440 Dual Run Capacitor

I'd been using a 55/5 capacitor on our compressor unit because the 55/7.5 rating wasn't available locally. Now the proper part is in place and the previous one is a spare in case of a failure. It's been working well since installation a few weeks ago.

After having a repairman come out to repair my AC. I found that he put the wrong capacitor in. Installed a phase one and I needed a phase 2. I just thank Amazon for having the product. I installed it within 10 minutes and my AC works better than what originally came with it.

Ordered BlueStars 55+7.5 and received BlueStars 40+5.0. Returned and rebought, got the correct one with a couple of dents on it.

Airco is up and running, works as it should. Even if it doesn't last the same 18 years as the original, it's 2 caps for a reasonable price. Now just not to lose the 2nd one by the time we need it.

Perfect replacement on our condenser unit

It's a year +2 weeks since I replaced this on my older system. Grateful its lasted since last year but now its intermittent and I'm looking at buying it or an alternative again. Still, for the price I guess it's ok. I didn't think I'd need to replace it annually.

Once you install it it does do a good job, but having said that, I have had one or two that have made noise and eventually broke down and needed to be replaced. It works, but not all of them work the same. You get one that works well, and then the next one might make some noise. But all in all, they do work well for the money
