Followed the directions many times but does not work

So easy to operate bought this extra transmitter to put on another level. So many chimes or jingles to pick from. Great loud volume. Great Buy!

I purchased two packages that included a doorbell and two receivers (so all in all, 2 doorbells and 4 receivers). Then I needed a 5th receiver and bought this one with the identical description and identical pictures. The problem is with the sounds available on the receivers. On the first 4 receivers, I cycled through the 52 sounds and had a really hard time deciding on the sound to choose. When I purchased these, I thought... 52 sounds, I should be able to find several that are good. However, after cycling through all 52 sounds, most were stupid long. You don't want your doorbell to play for 20 seconds. You just want some pleasant ding dongs and maybe some other short audio patches that are pleasant. Finally on thre first 4 receivers I found one that I thought was okay. THEN, I installed this 5th add-on receiver. Go figure, the sounds were similar, but the one I liked wasn't available on this single add-on unit. So, the sounds I liked were that scarce that I have to return this single add-on unit. Now I wonder if I just have to spend the extra money to buy the same multi-pack with and extra doorbell and receiver I don't need to get the same sounds. Given all of the above complaints. Setup was so simple. I put these receivers all over my house easily. Price for a system like this is very good. The receivers are a nice size and let you plug another device into a double outlet. I will keep the 2 packages with 1 doorbell and 2 receivers. I will return this single receiver. Then I will buy another package with 1 doorbell and 2 receivers hoping to get the same sounds. I will just spend a few extra dollars and have some spare parts left over in the end.

I like how loud the bell is. I have a fan and headphones on most of the day and I can still hear the ring. Once applied, the outdoor push button is almost impossible to remove so choose your location carefully. I cracked the back of mine.

This works out of the box with simple directions. One caution is that to remove the invisible plastic insulator from the transmitter battery it is necessary to push the battery down out of the battery holder and remove the insulator with tweezers before sliding battery back in place.
