Interesting product, works for me, too spendy
These are the most interesting iPad magnet product I've used. And it's more versatile than I thought it would be. You see the magnets are stickers that you stick to the back of the ipad. This is both good and bad. This means it won't work with most cases. In fact I've decided not to even use mine with my ipad!Because the stickers are are 1.5 inches by about 4.5 inches, you could stick them to other things than just ipads! You can put the strips on other tablets or phones. Each of my kids have Kindle and Google tablets. Because this wouldn't work with the iPad case, I decided that the kid's tablets would be better (I used one sticker on each tablet). Then I stuck the included 2 metal strips on the wall at one kid's bed and on another kid's headboard. Our kids listen to audio books regularly on their way to sleep so it's a great way to have the tablet where they can change settings but not where it is in bed with them.So now we have a new system. If we find the kids' tablets downstairs, we use the magnet to stick the tablet to the fridge. If they're getting in the car and need two hands to get the door open, they can stick the tablet to the car... I wouldn't say this has changed our life, but it's a useful product. Now for the bad. It's way too expensive for what you get! This should totally be $20-$25. Secondly, if you want it to hold your device in portrait you have to use two metal bars vertical (and need to have both stickers on the back, and it won't work with different size tablets). If you are using this for the ipad, I'm sure it won't work in a case if the magnets are under the case. I'm not sure how well it will work if you put the magnets on the outside of the case. Overall, this is an interesting idea. I think it can work for an ipad if you don't use any case other than the SmartCover. I'm not sure it will really take off. I think if the price stays where it's at that it won't sell very well.

Strong magnets, using the iPad more now, after mounting it in the kitchen.
This mount is used by applying 2 magnetic strips to the iPad on both sides and then applying the metal strips to the surface where the iPad is to be attached. It's a good mount for the iPad Pro as it's sized to keep that tablet in place, but I used it on my older iPad 3. This is because I cannot use a case on my iPad Pro after installing these mounts or use the keyboard case. This is a better solution for an older iPad that was not getting used at all. Now I have it stuck to the fridge door and I have loaded it with specific apps for schedule, lists, kitchen recipes and suddenly I have a handy kitchen assistant. I can also use it to play music on my bluetooth speaker in the kitchen. In fact, with TiVo Bolt I can also use it to watch live programs in the kitchen as I cook, as we don't have any screens there. It's a great handsfree option. The magnets are strong enough to let the iPad stay in place. The metal strips have to be placed in portrait or landscape mode to set up the iPad that way.I am giving it 4 stars, as it's expensive, and it doesn't allow usage with iPad Pro cases.

While this is a great item, the fact that it costs more than ...
My wife and I have a small home based manufacturing business that requires the use of spreadsheets. What we make requires us to move around a lot so tablets are preferred instead of workstation computers. The MagBak allows us the freedom to use all of our desk space by mounting the tablet to the wall. This serves multiple uses. First, we can track our progress and secondly, it makes it easier for us to watch Amazon Prime or Netflix while working. The reason I docked one star is cost alone. While this is a great item, the fact that it costs more than $15 (even that's high for what you get) is ridiculous. I'm all about taking what the market will allow, but there is a point where volume of product to consumers is more important than 1000% markup in price.

Great for cooking with iPad!
I hate having the iPad on the counter as I cook from a recipe, even in a holder it is stressful to not get it ruined. I used this to mount it on the cupboard door above the counter I use to bake, IT IS SO NICE to have it out of the way. I put a piece of clear cling film over my iPad screen so I can scroll through the recipe with gungy fingers. It works great and frees up work top space.

Works really well...
Included in box is 2 magnetic strips and 2 magnetic pads, a couple of alcohol prep pads, a small tube of 3M Primer 94 and 2 templates that are for the IPad Pro 12.9 and the IPad Pro 9.7. I gotta tell you this isn't much for the price charged for this, but it does work great. There's videos online you can watch if you want to see it in action. Just picture a magnetic on the fridge that you hang something on and you get the picture. The magnetic strips are really, really magnetic. I have accidentally picked up everything laying on my desk at the moment and having to really tug to get them freed up.

Very Strong Magnets
These are some powerful magnets so one does not have to worry about falling objects, thats for sure. If you're quite positive where you want to always mount your ipad this is just right for you. When you want to take your ipad elsewhere and you want a cover with a stand or something I could fit it in but it didn't quite fit perfectly. If attached exactly right it should not hinder any type of cover though. Just be sure you know where you want it mounted and it will work good for you.
