What amp would be best for mtx terminator 2 12

I have the pioneer 1000watt that works good with my terminator 12s.

Will this work for two 8in pioneer shallow mount subs?

Works fine for my two 10 inch Rockford Fosgate subs.

using an ipod nano as the input to this amp, will it turn on automatically and will it function properly?

Yes you can. But the output voltage from the nano is a maximum about 1.5 volts. So you would have to run a short RCA to 3.5 adapter for signal loss. Also you will need a switch to power amplifier on and off. I have done it. Also you will have no ability to equalize the sound.

Will this work for (2) 10 inch rocford fosgate subs

That's actually what I'm using it on. I have two 10 inch P1s and it works well. Both my subs are on a single input and if i try to bridge them, it cuts out so i just use a single channel and it sounds good.
