14" Maria, Hispanic Mom/Teacher, Hand Puppet

Very cute puppet, reminds me of the muppets

I'm a small adult woman and my hand fits adequately into this puppet; I'm sure it would fit perfectly for a child's hand. Placement of the yarn hair was done well. Head is slightly larger than the body, for comedic emphasis (Silly Puppets also sells a larger version if you want a bigger body but these 14" ones are best if you want kids AND adults to play with them). Her feet are literally the little black pumps, which is a good idea because they'll never fall off or get lost. Mouth rests in pop-open position - if you do a lot of puppeteering you know how nice that is for improving ease of use. Very good depiction of inner mouth/uvula/tongue inside the mouth (colorful and cute). Dress is removable and skin underneath matches the rest of the puppet - you can visit a Build-A-Bear store at a mall or visit their online store to buy costumes and outfits for this puppet - the puppet's body is a bit small for fitting Build-a-Bear clothing but it's not such a big difference that it doesn't work (I currently have her in a t-shirt and black leather motorcycle jacket that I got from Build-A-Bear; the tshirt is just long enough on her that it's like a little dress). When you buy puppets of this size you can trim off or tuck up the yarn hair and buy "doll's wigs" instead to put on the head; puppets look especially hilarious when they look like they have "people hair"... I haven't measured but this size head is probably around size 11 in doll wig.

My 3 year old granddaughter and I live 1200 miles apart, so we Facetime almost daily. She has a fantastic imagination, so we “play” on Facetime. When I saw these puppets I knew they would be perfect for us! I got Amy for my granddaughter (who renamed her Doc) and I have Maria. We have had so much fun playing puppets on Facetime! Her 4th birthday is tomorrow, I bought her Katie. I plan to keep adding to our “friends”Besides 5 stars for fun, I’m pleased with their quality and they are adorable.

She's charming, a bit smaller than I had envisioned but that was my own fault for failing to note the detail.

Good quality however, I thought it was pricey for a puppet.

It is too pricey, but it works great for a puppet show.

My little 3 year old simply loves Maria. When we start to play with her I am so dramatic with her that I don't think she realizes Maria is a puppet. She often touches her mouth and just gazes at her. I was extremely satisfied with the design and careful details.
