great experience but be gentle with them
I'm extremely happy with these headphones. The sound quality is phenomenal with music while still being useable for listening to audiobooks and voice only sources (I had a pair of bose that were worthless for anything but music). The battery life is great and the bluetooth connectivity is flawless with my iphone 8 and macbook. While not being noise cancelling these have good noise reduction without being too hot in the ears. The travel case is top notch being both slim and sturdy. Now for the negative side, as other reviewers have pointed out these headphones have a lot of thin plastic pieces on them. They "feel" fragile and I'm constantly reminded to be extra careful with them as they clearly will break under any kind of stress, that is judging by the pictures others have posted. If you take care of things and are careful then I don't think you'll have any issue with these headphones being more fragile than many others on the market. I do wish there was a version of these that costs a bit more that had aluminum in place of plastic for some of the pieces most likely to be under stress (ear cup hinge pins, pressure fitting for the ear extenders) so I'm giving them 4 stars for material.

Battery life seems to be really good (haven't had to charge it yet)
[UPDATE] After a year of very gentle usage (used it maybe once a week on average) the plastic parts at the end of the cushioned headband developed hairline cracks. Based on other peoples review, I think this is a design flaw. I am just outside the warranty limit by one week, and have not found a useful link on their company website to contact them regarding this issue. I would not recommend these headphones anymore. What use is a good sounding headphone when it is breaking down even after moderate use. Purchased this headphone a week ago and loving it so far. Battery life seems to be really good (haven't had to charge it yet), it is really comfortable, and the sound quality is superb. Originally, I was considering the Sennheiser PCX 550 or the Bose QC 35, but the Sennheiser was just too expensive for my current budget (although I was surprised by the sound quality and how well the noise canceling feature worked) and I didn't really like the sound of the QC35. Then I realized I don't really need the noise canceling feature, so I broadened my search to other headphones and ran into the Klipsch Reference series. I first ordered the on-ear version, which was $50 cheaper, but found it to be uncomfortable to wear for a long period due to the pressure it put on my ears. So I decided to return the on-ear pair and got the over-ear and I am very happy with my decision. I found out that the drivers in these pairs are different from those that are in the on-ear version which justified the price difference. (I am not sure why Klipsch doesn't emphasizes this more, at first it seemed like an extra $50 for different shapes of the ear cushions) I read some complaints online about the bass being weak, but I think those might be coming from people used to headphones with a bass boost. I am no audiophile, but in my opinion the sound of the Kilpsch reference is very well balanced and the bass is precise. I had the best listening experience for classical music, but I think this depends on a personal taste.

Worthy headphone for consideration.
A little disclaimer to begin with. I own Klipsch speakers and love the sound. I have owned the Klipsch computer speakers and wish I had not changed them out. Material: For the price, one may have metal head pieces instead of the plastic material Klipsch provides. The ear cups are small for an over the ear headphone. Th Klipsch ear cups are smaller than the Sony, Beyerdynamic, Sennheiser HD 598 and the AKG product pictured. While comfortable, the small size is an not favorable characteristic. The headphone cable is a thin wire that does not lock into the headphone. The manufacturer does not supply a 3.5 mm connector. I find the cable a little short for my tastes. Sound: I am impressed with the neutral aspects of this headphone. For a closed back product, the sound reproduction is pleasing. These compared well with the Beyerdynamic product. I find the sound more accurate than the Sennheiser HD 598. The Klipsch product lacks a little to me while listening to classical music with the AKG headphone pictured. My preference in headphones is an accurate sound reproduction while no emphases on a particular sound frequency. If you tastes are inclined to base frequency enhancement, you might want to look at other brands. The case fits the headphones. There is not room in the case for other items.

So far, so good...
Edit: After spending more time listening to these, i really dont enjoy them. It really kills me to say that. Ive loved every Klipsch Product ive ever owned, but these are bad... The build quality is excellent and clarity is nice, but i have one question.... Where the hell is the bass? I listen mostly to rock, so i prefer tuned down bass. But these have literally zero bass....almost negative bass. They certainly sont sound like $249.99 headphones. Ill give it a few more days, and see if i can adjust. Otherwise these are going back, and i really want to like these, but i need at least a little base.... Disclaimer: Ive only had these in my possession for twenty minutes, and will update this review in a few days. For the time being, i will rate this product at 4 stars. To start, i am a die hard Klipsch fan. I have the RSB-11 soundbar, Klipsch Groove portable speaker, and Klipsch R6I in-ear headphones. All are fantastic products. Im someone who seriously cares about the quality of the sound. I like to hear everything in the music. Typically, Klipsch has been fantastic with this. Diving in, the packaging for this product is excellent. Well designed, and efficient. Included is the instruction booklet and warranty card. Upon opening the package, youll find a leather carry case for your headphones. Inside is the headphones, charging cable and audio passthrough cable. The build quality of these headphones seems excellentm theyre extremely light weight and comfortable. Theyre also relatively low profile, and not as bulky as some other headphones ive tried (Such as JLAB Bombora). Sound quality seems good, but lacking in bass. Now, buying Klipsch, i expected and prefer toned down bass. But i feel like klipsch may have drowned out the base just a little too much. Otherwise, so far everything else sounds wonderful. You can hear so much background detail brought forward. The bass does kick, but it isnt boomy, and its not necessarilly a bad thing, i may just need to adjust. I typically listen to various sub genres of Rock, so bass isnt super important. Moving on, the mids and highs are great. I feel like Klipsch whould have added in a built in equalizer, to adjust the sound to your liking. But i can live without that. I personally believe all headphones sound better after being broken in. So i will update the review in time. In conclusion, i so far enjoy and recommend these.

Incredible
To be truthful, my very first klipsch product were a pair of heresy 2 speakers bought back in 1983. They're still my main speakes in my listening room and to this day, reproduce remarkably. I've had several other klipsch products since, and they're all fantastic. So I purchased these headphones because of the luck I've had with klipsch and from the rave reviews both amateur and professional. They are extremely comfortable, easily paired with Bluetooth, top rate constructed. But, of course, the main item is sound reproduction. Believe me, as an avid audiophile and musician, there are no dissapointments here. It's money well spent. You can also use the enclosed cable to direct couple your device to these headphones. They come nicely packaged with a hard shell carry case. I love them. You will too.

Love Klipsch speakers and headphones, but these have quality problems
I have probably 9 different products from Klipsch and never had any issues. However these have some plastic parts that broke after 2 years and minimal use. It took 3 months for support to respond to my inquiry and said there's nothing they can do since its out of warranty. They are super comfortable and sound great, but not worth $200+ for something that doesnt last. Super disappointed. Avoid these

Good sound but poor frame quality
I've always wanted a set of Klipsch headphones.. got them and the sound was very good, second to none, and the earpads very comfortable too, the problem though is that the quality of the frame construction and some materials are not the best, I was pretty sad that I had to return them, because they sound really good, but something came loose either on the frame or some other part close to the left speaker, kind of annoying since I didn't drop the set or anything...

Great Overall Sound Quality
Very rich overall sound for Bluetooth headphones. I purchased the Over-Ear and On-Ear versions to compare. Both models had beautiful clarity on the highs and mid-range. Vocals, horns, pianos, and strings are gorgeously reproduced. I most definitely heard a fuller range of sounds from Klipsch than I do on a pair of Bose OE headphones that I've had for 3 years or so. The low end is not as present on the Klipsch, but the bass response is very clean. Klipsch lacks "punchy" bass. The Over-Ear were very hot after a short period of time. My ears and head started to sweat pretty quickly. The On-Ear were much more comfortable to wear. The memory foam pads on the On-Ear phones helped extend my wear time without the discomfort in my ear cartilage that I've had from other on-ear sets. Connectivity and controls with an iPhone 7 were seamless, as one would expect. I don't care for the flashing blue "on-signal" LED out of the corner of my eye when using the headphones in a darker setting. Considering the excellent mid-to-high sound quality, the clean low end performance, and overall comfort...I'm very happy with the On-Ear Klipsh BT Phones.
