I bought these strips to test pH during wine making. Although easy to use, more color gradations between pH levels would be helpful so that guessing the closest value, or one in between the photos shown would be less subjective. Good value for the price.

DO NOT BUY FOR RED WINE TESTING! As others have posted this is false advertising. The natural red coloring in your wine or grapes off the vine will render the tests unreadable, and completely unusable. Also, the scale is only in increments of .4, which is way too coarse of a measurement for wine. So it turns out these are not PH strips for wine- they are generic PH strips that the seller is trying to pass off as being made for this purpose. In fact it says right on the package that red grapes will not work- why isn't that in the listing then? Should be zero stars. I was duped.

I got 25 of these strips with my initial kombucha kit from Cultures for Health. They accurately measure the strength of my brewing kombucha and now I need more. The price is perfect. Other strips often are too water soluble when used (the color ink bleeds too much and impossible to compare potency). THese are my choice in the 2 years i’ve been brewing my Kombucha. BTW: I flavor it with Crystal Light cherry pomegranate flavor. Of course Amazon is the place to order from.

This “wine ph testing” product is worthless for red wine although this is not stated anywhere in the advertising. After you buy it and read the label is when you realize you made a stupid mistake. So this company has earned a as negative as possible review and I’ll never buy a product from them again. I’m also returning it so they don’t benefit from their false advertising.

They do not work with red wines. They stain red or purple....useless.
