Great, simple way to attach tabletops that allows for wood movement.
These clips worked extremely well for me. I built a solid walnut tabletop that I wanted to make sure would be both secure and allowed to move with seasonal humidity changes. After routing out some slots in the table base I was able to attach these with ease. They’ve worked great and my tabletop remains uncracked.

Exactly as pictured.
They appear to be designed exactly as pictured. I think they will be just fine. The steel appears to be about a 1/16-3/32 thick. I did not put dial calipers on them though. They feel reasonably robust. All screws appear to be free of defects all though they are really to small in diameter. They look like a size 6x1/2. I usually never use less than size 8's for hardwoods. Up to size 10 for soft woods. Overall wood recommend. Would have given 5 stars if they would have included bigger diameter screws.

Worked like a charm
I built a kitchen island and needed a way to fasten the countertop to the aprons and after doing a fair bit of research, I bought these. The island I built has cabinets under half, then extends out an equal distance with legs and aprons, aprons are attached to the cabinets. These z-clips were used to fasten the plywood I used under 1/2" thick corian to the aprons. As other reviewers said, the provided screws were less than impressive. I went with 1/2" #8 wood screws, as the ply I used was 3/4".I'm not too concerned about the plywood expanding, but I used yellow pine for the aprons and wanted to allow for some expansion in those.Installing 14 z-clips took maybe 5 minutes, counting the time it took to pre-drill and cut a groove to accept the clip in the aprons.

Used these to repair an antique table.
I repaired a friend's (of a friend's) antique table. The top had split because someone had screwed the top down on all sides. As the wood moved (always does), the top had no choice but to split. I used a router to make slots in several places around the frame then screwed these "z-clips" around the top to hold it down. These allow the wood to move with humidity, it doesn't split again.

My favorite way to attach a table top
This item is identical to a certain other well-known brand, with the only difference being that these are much less expensive. There are multiple ways to attach a table top to a table base. This type of clip is my favorite because they're easy to attach and they allow seasonal wood movement while holding the top very securely.

Great z fasteners
Worked great, was able to secure butcher block to cabinets without adhesives to allow wood movement.

Good Value
I've been using these clips for years for all kinds of tops for furniture. They work great. To make the slot in the skirt, I either use my table saw (a single pass with a blade with a .1" kerf works fine) or I use my plate joiner. This particular package is a great value. To my eye, they're the exact same clips as more expensive ones that I've purchased. You simply get more for your dollar with this package. If my top is made of very hard wood, such as maple, I don't use the screws that come with it. I instead use screws that I can drive with a nut driver. Saves a lot of frustration.
