These are great but check out this size chart from the actual box. Many people are getting a size too large!
For the people who say these do not have good compression you probably have the wrong size. Using the advice I read here and what I found on the 2XU website I initially ordered a medium and that is what most of my bike shorts are. When it arrived it fit but was a little loose and the legs were too long for me. I just knew it was wrong and didn't feel right. The fit chart on the box told a different story and indicated I actually need a small size. I promptly re-ordered a small and it fit great. The legs were also more than an inch shorter which was much more comfortable. The support was very good and I ran a rugged maniac 5k in them the next day. The drawstring is so much better than an elastic only waist and I had no problem keeping them up for the entire time. I liked them so much I returned the medium size for another small. These are compression shorts and you will be better off with a smaller size rather than too large. They are very stretchy and you want them to be tight to do what they are designed for. If you want slightly looser yoga pants go ahead and order the wrong size.

Former sceptic turned believer
Not much of a runner, 3 to 5 miles a few times a week. Temperature got down to the 30's where I live and it was the first time (getting older I guess) that I found myself drained during my run. In addition, it felt like my muscles would simply not loosen and warm up. Clearly needed greater cover for my legs. Did my research and landed on this product and boy did they make a difference. Not only did my muscles stay warm my legs didn't feel fatigued post run. I've included them in my lower body lifting (primary way I workout) and not only am I more comfortable, my muscles don't cool down as fast between sets and as such I'm able to do more reps per set.

I Love These Things; Perfect for Running in the Minnesota Cold
As a college runner who has to deal with the harsh winters in Minnesota, I was desperate for a nice pair of compression tights to wear on my longer runs outside. During high school I always just wore warm ups or sweat pants, but I couldn't handle those anymore. I did a lot of research on what the best option would be for the climate (the wind chill here gets down to -40 sometimes, so they needed to be warm), and I ended up choosing these. I couldn't be happier with them. I bought them last year and have put in around 100 miles out in the cold and loved every mile with them; they were very comfortable and perfectly warm (not too hot, even on 40 degree days.) Oh and they look awesome too, I suppose.

Great tights for running. Not as durable as the regular 2XU tights, but still worth it.
Bought two pair of these for the winter running season here in Pennsylvania. Fit is true to the 2XU website. Compression is great too. Wore them for an early November marathon and they really did the job on a cold day with strong winds. The only drawback is that the fabric is beginning to pile between the upper legs where the legs rub together just below the crotch. Owning the regular 2XU tights and a number of CW-X tights, I can tell that these will wear out sooner than the others I've tried. But the thickness of these tights are great, and so long as you're prepared to go through a pair or two each winter and buy new next year, these are top notch. Buying them on Amazon saved me about 50%.

Disappointed with the logo peeling off b4 1st wear
I was really looking forward to receiving the elite shorts since I've already owned a pair of 2xu compression shorts also bought from amazon. Well, after opening the 2xu packaging, the elite compression shorts were folded nicely inside. However, the logo seemed to be stuck (glued) together when the shorts are folded. So I tried to separate them as gentle as I could. But in the end a small portion of the logo -- 2 portions of about 10 mm each just came apart. I know this is a pair of great compression shorts, but I really expect something of a better quality for the price that I paid!!And yes, I'm sure it will definitely not affect the performance of the elite shorts, but imagine paying for USD$90 for a pair of brand new item and getting a slightly damaged logo. :(

Totally worth the investment
Pretty good. I used them throughout the winter season for long runs under 10F, and for a couple of short runs under 0F. You still feel the cold (specially if you stop) but they made year-round outdoors running possible for me.I ordered the long ones, and they are a little bit too long (I'm 6'3" with long legs). I was very happy that they reach my ankle because it is usually hard for me to find leggings that are long enough. They are starting to show minor wear in the inner tights, but I think they might last another season before replacing them.Totally worth the investment if you ask me.

Order one size bigger.
I'm 5'9", 170 lbs and 34" waist. I ordered a large it is pretty tight. I understand they are compression's, but they shouldn't be this tight. Very hard to get the bottom over my ankles. Almost cuts off ankle blood circulation. I ran with them once so far and they worked out. They did keep me fairly warm. I will order a XL if i get another pair.

Great in cool weather
I love these tights for what they are - WARM. But if you're going to be standing around a lot they wont retain much of that heat, you really have to be constantly active to stay warm (like every tight). The compression is just right and the brushed interior feels great against the skin. I like the lower waistband as it feels a little sportier, I'm not a big fan of high waistbands. My only worry is how long these would last under very heavy use - I run about 30-40 a week in these in colder weather and the inner thigh area is starting to wear high in the crotch. Either way I have no doubts they'll at LEAST last a full winter season. Great in anything below about 55 degrees

Sadly won't be able to find them anymore (discontinued)
Perfect sizing, thicker material than the MCS and offers around 22-25mmhg. Perfect for squat or oly lifts in general. Since this product is discontinued, buy as much as you can if you like it.
