Worlds better than the Cobra 25
I bought a Cobra 25 at first and returned it because the receive audio was muddy to the point of me not being able to understand anyone. Sent it back and picked up this one. FAR BETTER! Physically, it resembles the 25 at first glance, but the Uniden case is about 25% shorter than the Cobra. The receive audio is crisp and clear and you have an actual "tone control" to reduce the amount of high frequencies if you wish to do so. The transmit is good, the stock mic is well...stock. It worked better with a power mic. The controls are easy and familiar and it has that "classic look." The speaker seems smaller than the 25, but the quality was good. It's a keeper for me.

My husband use for his work truck. Easy to use. Good value for the money. He loved it. Someone stole but he got another one just like the first. Good quality

I like this radio, little bigger than I desired, but I knew that purchasing it. I would like to have this level of quality in a slightly smaller radio. Yes, there are better radios out there for sure. The speaker was clear, plenty of volume. I thought the radio worked really well. The Mic feels good in the hand, but a better mic probably could be added, but this works for my needs. The two things I didn't like is this radio always defaults to channel 9 when turned on, I would like for it to retain the last channel used and the fact that the mic has to be installed to get audio out. That seems really weird to me as I might want to monitor but not have a mic hanging around in the way all the time. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.
