I bought this product may be 4 times or more for my concrete molding and it is wonderful except a little bit pricey.

I poured several concrete countertops using this product to reduce the amount of water needed to keep the concrete workable while minimizing cracks. The largest pour was 2.5 inches thick and 44sf which is hte pour that I used this product. The other pour was a small lower shelf that I poured without this product to learn the difference. Both of these pours were identical in every way other than this product, so it provides a good comparison. I used a powdered concrete color and Sakrete 5000 pre-mix concrete. Both pours went well and have no cracks two weeks later. The larger pour with this product went very well in the early morning temperatures of mid 80F and it did not require as much water, which I attribute to this product. Less water is always a good thing to reduce cracks as the result of shrinking to make up for the lost water volume when drying occurs. I would recommend using this product bu be careful with the amount used. It is to be used at a rate of .3% of the cement in the mix. Which in the case of an 80lb bag of pre-mix is about 12lb of cement. So multiply 12lb X .003= .036lb, or .576 ounces. I went with .6 ounces per 80lb bag and it went well.
