Same kind the hospital uses! (after 3 months, didn't like and we switched to MAM) - read review for more info!
Same ones the hospital gives out.... not leaving home without them!If you are reading this, you are probably pro-pacifier. We really didn't have an opinion until we went to the hospital class on breastfeeding and they scared us against using them for fear of nipple confusion. Well, my son was born on Monday evening and on Thursday evening after just 24 hours at home, landed in a level 4 NICU. He had an IV on his hand, which he had previously used for comfort. We finally gave in and let him have one when the nurse offered for the Xth time. Now at 3 weeks, he gets them whenever he's having a freakout moment, and we're just glad to offer him relief.Updated now that he's 7.5 weeks: still great! I wash in hot, soapy water and they clean nicely. Beware if you use these near a blanket (it's winter, so he gets a blanket tucked in around his car seat and Rock & Play sometimes, as they can attract dust and hair (and in my house, dog fur!). They also fit nicely into a Nookums Paci-Plush stuffed toy, though the first time is tricky to get it in. I prefer the Nookums over Wubbanub, since the Nookums can work with many different pacifiers, and you can remove them for cleaning. I've even run my Nookum elephant through the washing machine and let it air dry and it looks brand new!Update: Right around when my son turned 3 months old, he didn't like the Soothies much. We bought the next level up (3m+), which are thicker, but he HATED those. He is now in love with MAM pacifiers - maybe because we use MAM bottles?

BEST PACIFIERS EVER!
As a new mom, I only recently discovered the absolute need of a pacifier for a new baby. We started out with several different kinds of pacifiers, but these always end up being the ones that we use. We ended up buying multiple sets of the same pacifiers. These are nice quality and easy for my son to keep in his mouth. He seems to spit out any other kind of pacifier. I also like that there is a small hole behind the nipple where I can hold my finger there to hold the pacifier in baby's mouth or just to hold it outside of baby's mouth. Even my son (at 3 months) is able to wrap his tiny little fingers around the ledge of the pacifier and basically push the pacifier back into his own mouth! The price is just right and I would probably pay even more for these because I like them so much. Many of my friends that have babies agree that these pacifiers are the best ones on the market! Do yourself a favor and get these pacifiers! ALSO, i must add that these pacifiers also have small holes in the front that allow you to easily attach the pacifier clip.

I wish I could buy these in bulk!
These pacifiers are the same ones they provided to us at the hospital when my son was born. I grabbed as many as I could while we were in the hospital because I knew they would be lost quickly under couches, in the car, etc. but I couldn’t get enough so I’ve had to purchase them on amazon a few times. These are the “soothies” model. Our son will not take another type of pacifier because he is used to these. They are the closest to the look and feel of what a nursing mother has. I love that there is the hole in the middle to put your finger in and feel the baby suckling. It’s just such a cool feeling. It also helps my son calm down and feel that I’m there. My son is now 3 months old and still uses them regularly to soothe himself to sleep. I have also read that having a baby fall asleep with a pacifier can help reduce the risk of SIDS, so I like that benefit too.My only complaint about this style is that they kind of take up his whole face. So in pictures you mostly just see the pacifier. It’s advised to not use pacifiers until 6 weeks when breastfeeding has been established but these did not cause our son nipple confusion. (Every baby is different, I did not allow my now 8 year old to use a pacifier and now I’m wondering why because it really does help them learn to self soothe)Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. My reviews are always my honest opinion and I try to include photos if possible. If my review has helped you in any way, please click the "helpful" button below so that I know! I was sent the wrong colors
I ordered the green set (2 pieces) and I received the pink and purple set. They still work great

Love the soothie!
With my first child she never took a binkie. This time around with my son I came prepared to the hospital with 4 different types in tow, one of which was the soothie. I had heard from other mothers this was their choice too, but I was not sure what he would take.I breastfed my son with a nipple sheild and one night at the hospital i happened to look at the nipple sheild and the soothie and by golly they are the same shape. I am sure they taste different and feel different, but the overall shapes were the same.I had tried one of the Nuk and Tommee Tippee with my son both with the flat nipple and he would not take them. After 2 attempts with the soothie it won him over. Now after he drinks a botttle we plop that in and he is happy as can be.I like the soothies for several reasons:* Easy to clean* Easy to find (this is huge if you cannot locate them during the night, most of the grocery stores carry them!)* Easy to store in a binkie holder* Easy to attach to a booginhead binky holder* Matches the Wubbanub binkie (love the wubbanub and its the same soothie!)My only dislike is that I cannot find them for over 3 months any longer. I have yet to go to the website to see if they just discontinued them, but all of the binkies are listed as 0-3 months only. Well I pretty sure my son is not going to give it up when he turns 4 months so not sure if I have to change or what.Overall: love it!
