UPDATE AFTER 3 YEARS OF DAILY USE: I have this wallet packed with cards, so its being tested at the seams. After 3 years of using this wallet daily, the critical outer stitching is holding up, even at the corners. The leather shows no signs of wearing through - actually it has developed a deep tanned appearance, like high end equestrian leather. If the quality of the leather, stitching and craftsmanship is the same as it was 3 years ago, this wallet is an absolute bargain for $20. ORIGINAL REVIEW IN 2019: A basic wallet that holds a few cards and some cash. Very small when full and will fit into any pocket easily. I needed something like this because my George Costanza wallet was getting to be unmanageable;) A nice surprise was that instead of coming in a fancy presentation box that I would’ve likely thrown away, this wallet comes in a nice basic little natural canvas bag with leather trim and a leather drawstring. This will be useful for small miscellaneous items. Very well made using thick high-quality tanned leather with clean and attractive hand stitching. Hide & Drink stands behind their products and personally and courteously responds to email questions. I’ve already recommended their products to a few of my friends and family.

I bought this mainly because it was fairly inexpensive for a full-grain leather wallet. It's the perfect everyday companion for my needs, but I needed to put some work into it first. I am currently carrying 2 credit cards, 2 debit cards, 2 ID's, and 2 Points cards plus the occasional folded bill or two and it's been working brilliantly, but it was a bit of a journey to make the wallet supple and fitted to my cards. I go into detail below. When I got the wallet it was a light brown colour and I noticed that the leather was on the drier side, although it's definitely made of a quality thick full-grain leather. The leather didn't have the super smooth finish that I expect from something like top-grain leather, but to me that a plus because it'll retain it's thickness and durability. It's made with the whole rough strip of leather. This also means that the leather wasn't super supple to begin with and I found it was tight inserting cards and getting everything I wanted to carry inside the wallet initially. I put some work into conditioning the wallet and what you see in the photos is the result. The leather is now a deep dark brown that I've put next to a black Moleskin for contrast. It's a super inky dark colour, which I love. The leather is also very supple and flexible plus it folds flat and stays closed when placed on a surface. To get the wallet here I used tons of "Effax Leather Balm" which is an oil and wax based conditioner and protectant for leather (originally designed for horse tack, but loved by many from a general purpose leather care standpoint) I conditioned it...quite a few times by working the balm into the empty wallet with my fingers to warm the leather and the balm by rubbing it in. I worked the balm into the front, back, inside pockets, along the edges...literally the whole wallet inside and out until the leather was slick with product. I did this more than 5 times in about a week and after each application I let the wallet sit for about a half-hour before buffing it with a towel to soak up the excess and give it a bit of a shine. Once the product absorbed I packed my cards in each time and wore the wallet in my front jeans pocket. After about 3 weeks of daily use It's now shaped nicely and looks and feels quite a bit more premium than the price tag would lead one to believe. The stitching has help up nicely to all of the abuse I've put it through during the buffing process and I think this wallet will last for many years to come. I plan to let the leather dry out a bit before I condition again and I hope to see some of the lighter brown tone return to the leather from the natural wear of using it daily. All-in-all great purchase for me, but I don't think it would be as durable or sleek without putting in some elbow grease to hydrate and protect the wallet from day one.

Fast shipping and product quality exceeded my expectation's. The fact there was a card with the name and age of the person that made it along with their country of origin added a personalized touch. I can see owning this for years. Would not hesitate to buy again from this manufacturer.
