Plowboys BBQ Yardbird Dry Rub Seasoning 5 LBS Bag - Barbecue Grill and Cooking Spice. Try Plowboys BBQ Yardbird Rub from the team that won the 2009 American Royal Invitational from the team of Todd Johns and his brother-in-law Randy Hinck (who competes as the Pork Pullin Plowboys) bested 123 past grand champions to capture the overall crown. Plowboys BBQ Yardbird Rub was developed for competition bbq but for those of us that are just backyard bbq geeks it gives us the opportunity to produce award winning bbq without the competition. The savory rub, with a touch of sweetness is followed on the back of the tongue with just a little heat. Buy it in bulk and save! We don't know if there is a perfect bbq rub, but if Plowboys BBQ Yardbird Rub isn't it, we can't imagine anything else better. Great on Chicken! If that isn't enough try Plowboys Yardbird Rub on pork ribs once and its normally requested on my ribs! Sprinkle your Chicken Sitter chicken with this Yardbird and watch them come back for more! The bottle reads, "Created for chicken, but made for pork" and works with vegetables and other meats too. Ingredients: Salt, Sugar, Spices including chili pepper, paprika, dehydrated garlic and onion, celery powder, mustard flour, disodium inosinate and guanylate, not more than 2% of calcium stearate to prevent caking.

Really tasty rub
This is my go to rub for ribs and pork butt. It's not super hot but has just enough zing to be interesting. I do sometimes also make something super mild if I have guests over and don't know their preference but MOST people are OK with this, especially on the butts, just because there's less surface area for the amount of meat. I go through roughly five pounds a year so this works out pretty well, I just dump it into a big rubbermaid pitcher and pour from there.

Favorite BBQ rub
This was a great deal compared to buying individual shakers, assuming you can use it all. I split it up into vacuum bags that each hold one shaker of seasoning and have use it almost every time I BBQ. I wish they made a version with slightly lower salt or even salt-free as it can get a little salty when using it on smaller cuts of meats. It is also great on vegetables - I especially like sauteing white hominy with a little olive oil and a shake or three of Yardbird.

Go To Rub
This is my second 5# package of Plow Boy's; that says that I like it a lot and more importantly, the people who eat my smoked ribs like it a lot as well. Can't say how it works on Chicken because I don't do Chicken but it works great on Thanksgiving Turkey prepared on the smoker. I use this in combination with a 'home made' Texas rub and Malcolm Reed's Killer Hog Rub. Together they produce the perfect flavor on pork and fowl. I might even admit to using it on Tri-Tip with great results.

Best rub on the market!
This is the best rub on the market hands down. I buy a bag about every 6 months. I use as a base for smoking ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. Even when I am just bbq’ing chicken this is the go to. I bought originally in just a shaker and have been refilling since.

Great Rub for all grilled meat
Can't beat Yardbird, Great Rub for all grill meats.

A mainstay in my collection of rubs
This is a very consistent product. I use it on a lot of different items wether I’m smoking or grilling. Goes well with pork, chicken, & Turkey. Don’t use it on beef because their “Bovine Bold” rub works best there.

Cant cook without it !!!
I use it on more than just chicken, i use it on all kind of poultry including duck and turkey. I also use it on ribs and vegetables. It is just a great all around rub/seasoning.
