I purchased this last year and love it! I am 5'9" medium build and this is perfect for me. I use a small flat pillow for my knees but this takes the pressure off of my knees by resting most of my weight upon the bench. I first kneel with the bench behind my feet and then pull it up. It takes the pressure off of my knees perfectly. I think if you're feet are 10's or higher, you would have to lift it up over feet to position it over your calves. Recommend they have a larger model if you are in that situation. I did make one modification. On the bottom side of the legs, it's finished wood, which allows it to gradually slip backwards if you are on a carpeted surface. I purchased some anti slip tape and attached it to the bottom of the legs and works perfectly. I paid $5. Very sturdy and good value and in terms of your height, it you are a larger frame this may not work as well.

The bench is great, very comfortable and stable. The carry bag is useless. The zipper is defective, and it seems to be designed that way??!! I suppose if you are a weight lifter you might be able to get the zipper pull to move, but I could not. I had to undo a seam to get the bench out. I might replace the zipper some day, meanwhile I'll just use the bench without the bag.

I needed a kneeler for Church, since ours was torched a couple of years ago. We are in a temporary makeshift Church which doesn’t have kneelers. I’ve tried several ways to soften the hurt on my knees. Once I tried this one, I knew I didn’t have to look any more. I had tried other brands but they all gave way as they weren’t made with the correct size screws. This one is perfect and others in my Church are asking where I got it. It could use a bit more padding, but I took care of that. It has a perfect height allowing me to kneel without hurting my legs or feet. It folds nicely in its carrying case. I’ve added a pocket to the outside of the case so I can carry some reading material to Church.

My doctor suggested this kind of chair for long-term work at a low desk (around 20-in above floor). I'd already been using a hard foam roller to balance on while working but thought this would be much more comfortable. You use your core (as the exercise instructors lecture) on the foam roller more, but this becomes tedious after a couple of hours. This chair allows you to sit more confidently (no rolling). But I don't find it especially comfortable. I either contort my body so I'm squatting--and this becomes uncomfortable after about an hour. Or I'm sitting in the meditation pose but slide forward often as I'm typing... On the plus side, because the seat is tilted, the angle of your hips is more natural and alleviates a lot of tightness that accompanies sitting at a 90-degree angle. And this position (meditation position) forces your spine into a more natural curvature. Still, I have to get up often because there's still too much pressure on my lowest ribs and because I'm too large a guy to fit my feet and lower legs UNDER the bench. This means my lower legs are splayed out to the sides of the bench, putting pressure on my knees. One more note, I read the seller/manufacturer answering a question about the content of the cushion. They said it's natural buckwheat, but you can see from my included photo it's foam. I had to double-check the ad because, for me, the seat isn't comfortable. It flattens VERY fast, pushing the hard wood into my bones. So I'm now on Amazon searching for a buckwheat pillow. But after using this admittedly handsome bench for two days (one full day in my home office), it's just too painful--especially on my knees--to keep using. Handsome wood. So far stable hinges--no collapsing. Too small for taller people (6'5"+...) so may be very hard on the knees. And a thin foam, not buckwheat, cushion--which may not be comfortable after a few minutes since the cushion collapses easily.

If you’ve considering purchasing this chair, stop hesitating and do yourself a favor and order it!! I’m new to meditation and wanted something where I could comfortably sit on the floor without irritating my herniated disc in my lower back. The slight tilt of this bench was perfect for that! I’m able to sit in a mediation pose for long periods of time without my legs falling asleep or experiencing back pain. It’s lightweight but sturdy enough to comfortably hold a 6-foot, 230lb man. Some reviews complain about the lack of height adjustment but I’ve found the sliding the chair towards or away from your buttocks does the trick. Since Using this chair, my meditations have been deeper and my I even noticed that my posture corrects itself while I’m using it. Im absolutely in love with it!

Great support for your back posture, if you have trouble sitting on a cushion during your Zazen practice. Recommend for back problems, and correction of your posture is made much easier, especially having much more relaxation during meditation practice. It is light weight and easy to carry with the case. Fast delivery and worth the money.

I wanted something kind of cute, relaxing, comfortable and easily stored. Did I find all of that in one, of course not. But I did get a little close to it. The cushion is comfortable enough to sit on for a few minutes (long enough to meditate for about fifteen to twenty minutes.) But I honestly wouldn’t sit that much longer. I wish it was foam or something softer. I like that it folds and can be placed in its own little bag and put away easily, out of sight, out of the way. I think it’s enough space from the ground to get your leg a little comfortable while meditating. It’s sturdy. I ah experience a little imbalance if I move forward a little. It I think it’s just my weight causing the bench to move out of place (I’m big; 200+ pounds.) There’s no real back support, you’ll have to sit right and keep your balance. Overall, I’m satisfied with the purchase.

Attractive and very well made. My husband is comfortable on it, but for me, unfortunately, the very short height makes getting up and down a bit difficult with arthritic back. Not the fault of the item which is very nice.

All around first class meditation bench. I tried four other meditation benches by 4 different manufacturers and this one won on all levels hands down.

Love the lovely design which is very stable for me (I'm 1.59m tall and weigh 59 kg). The travel bag is very compact.
