Ok for its price but not the US scales
Cheap knock-of of quality makes, but those are actually no different now. Azimuth ring very stiff and hard to read. Needle magentism a bit weak and slow to align. not much needle clearance to swing freely and therefore more difficult to use at night as cannot see if being held level in the dark. Has USA grid scales not uk, incorrect description. ok for light practice but not safe to use for serious navigation in hazardous areas.

Suunto MC-2 Knock Off
As the title says, it’s a Suunto MC-2 Knock Off. You notice the difference in quality immediately when you open the packaging, but the Suunto is around £80 and this is less than £10 so what do you expect. It points north correctly (confirmed with the compass on iPhone). My only niggle is the Romer scale is listed as 1:25000 in the description but is stamped as 1:24000 on the baseplate. How much of an impact this will make in the real world is probably negligible and probably only equates to a few feet but it is worth noting.Other than that, it does what it says on the tin. If it breaks or I lose it I won’t be too upset (if it was a Suunto MC-2 I’d be devastated!) but it’ll do as a backup compass, rule of redundancy; two is one and one is none.

Falls apart if you give it a hard stare
It arrived just about to pop apart but a little pressing from underneath put it all back together again. As this is almost certainly likely to happen again and no one can afford that when they're out miles from anywhere, plus the play in the dial means its not that accurate, it was sent back for a refund

Sturdy enough, good value for money imo
A bit unclear marking of the degrees on the bezel ring. When I shoot an azimuth, i have to take a few seconds to count the exact degrees. The bezel ring is a bit too stiff when you're trying to get an azimuth and rotating it through the mirror. All in all, a good enough entry level compass to start training in bearing/ azimuths and orienteering.

Poor quality
Broke after the first time I used it more of a toy than real compass

I know how to use one.
I used to do Orienteering at school and I know they come in handy.

It wasn't good.
The strap broke on the first day. The compass bit was so stiff so when trying to take measurements in the field while it's raining/snowing and your hands get cold and wet was a nightmare. I should have spent £15 more and gotten another better compass.

Out of the box; rubbish! Came apart!
This is the worse product I have ever bought. As soon as I took it out of the package, it completely came apart as you can see in the photos. I'm absolutely gutted and shocked how can this have a 4.5/5 rating! wow.

Surprising, good choice, worth it.
I heard about BIJIA brand a long time ago, but I never had a chance to experience their products. This time I received their compass. When I opened the box, I felt very surprised. All the configurations are available, and the price is not as outrageous as Suunto's. I have been engaged in the compass production line, and I know exactly what the price of each part is. With the same configuration, there is absolutely no need to waste money on Suunto. And I think this one is better, the reading is accurate, the dial can shine at night, and even if the eyesight is not clear, there are small led lights to illuminate, and everything is perfect from design to price, so I think it is very valuable and highly recommended.

The BIJIA Orienteering Map Compass is a multi-functional compass designed for a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, camping, orienteering, hunting, and search and rescue (SAR) training. It features several helpful components for accurate navigation and measurement. Here's what I like:Sighting Mirror: The compass includes a sighting mirror, allowing for precise bearing measurements and long-distance aiming.Adjustable Declination: The compass allows for easy adjustment of declination, ensuring accurate readings regardless of your location.Clinometer: The built-in clinometer helps measure angles and gradients, useful for terrain assessment and elevation calculations.LED Light: The LED light provides illumination for compass use in low-light conditions, enhancing visibility and accuracy.Durable Construction: The compass is made from high-quality materials, ensuring durability and reliability in various outdoor environments.Things to consider:Complexity: The compass has multiple features, which might require some learning and practice to master.Size and Weight: While compact, the compass might be slightly larger and heavier than some basic compasses, potentially affecting portability for some users.Accuracy: The compass's accuracy can be affected by factors like magnetic interference and user error. It's essential to practice and understand proper compass use.Overall, the BIJIA Orienteering Map Compass is a versatile and feature-rich tool for navigation and outdoor activities. Its sighting mirror, adjustable declination, clinometer, and LED light make it a valuable asset for hikers, campers, orienteers, hunters, and SAR professionals. However, it's important to note its complexity and potential for user error. Proper practice and understanding of compass use are essential for accurate navigation.

Needle not level
Got it this morning and although it points north you have to hold the compass on a tilt to it levels up and points north.Otherwise it gets stuck

Very suitable for directional movement or route finding
Completely beyond expectations, the pointer is flexible, and even if you stand in different positions, you can measure the exact position, so it is very suitable for directional movement or route finding. There is no problem with quality at all. It is also well-made, and I think this product is good enough. Don't hesitate to buy it.
