Comments relate to use with a AMD Althon X4 840 Processor on FM2+ Socket Fitting was easy, just unscrew the two side screws a bit, then place on the processor, connect the two clips, and screw tight. The processor is rated as 72 Celsius (Core Temp/Margin) and 95 Watts. This fan is rated as 90 Watts. Fan runs at 25% when idle ~950rpm, and I would say its quiet, but by no means loud. An important point is that as it's a PWM fan, as it speeds up with loading there is little change in the sound - just a sort of quiet bee hive buzz. I didn't think the fan was all that large and sits quite low. Tip: If you are using a AMD processor you should download their 'AMD Overdrive' software. The way AMD rate their processors is not quite as obvious as it seems. The temperature quoted is the Core Margin not the CPU Temp! With the software above you will get a display of the Core Margin from the 'Board Status' page. The temperature when completely idle should correspond the processor's rating - if this is way off the cooling fan is not making proper connection with the CPU. This piece of software also has a 'Stability Test' which will drive all the processor at 100% loading for hours, should you wish. This is worth doing as you will be able to determine your overall PC cooling margin when fully loaded - minus any heat from a discrete graphics card if you have one. Be aware that other temperature determining software would not necessary report the appropriate temperatures with AMD processors. As an example with the processor above this fan yielded the following: 100% Loading, CPU Temp 64 Celsius, Core Margin 14 Celsius, Fan RPM 2050 (Max 2300) - Note the case is a factor and there was only a 200mm case fan. Ambient ~20 Celsius. Overall I would say this is a very good fan, but not for Over-Clocking (which would cause the CPU to generate far more heat than 95Watts). Note: The CPU Temp. (Idle) can vary quite a bit between processor types, for example A10s/A8s tend to be close to ambient, however this processor was around 35-40 when idle. Hence why you should use the AMD software to determine if the fan is fitted correctly - Core Margin should match the Processor Rating. FWIW, with a R7 260X discrete graphics card, Skyrim runs on Ultra Settings and the fan barely has to speed up.

Produit de bonne qualité. très silencieux et s'adapte sans difficulté sur un processeur Athlon AMD. système de fixation inhabituel. bien lire la notice: il faut dévisser les vis sur le dessus avant d'approcher les deux pattes et revisser ensuite. le radiateur est recouvert de pâte thermique et protégé.Le connecteur possède 4 fils afin de contrôler la vitesse. Prix très raisonnable pour le résultat obtenu. je recommanderai ce produit sans hésiter.

I've had this cooler in my media center PC for over 2 years now. It was easy to install (I recently took it apart for cleaning so I remember.) It is a huge improvement from the stock cooler in regards to noise and it has also lowered my temps slightly. Since I have this cooling my media center PC, I can't hear any fan noise when I'm watching TV. It just works. I also replaced the case fans with some corsair silent fans, makes for a super quiet TV PC. Overall, I am very satisfied. It keeps my CPU at about 40 Celsius at idle and 60 under load. Keep in mind my case is kind of wedged between two shelves in my TV bench, I think it would be a lot cooler if I had some proper cooling going on around it but I don't have any room for that.
