Lip Repair Unscented Balm Stick

TLDR; After trying all of the other "standard" chapsticks/lip balm and a few exotic ones on a bad case of uncurable dry lips, this worked!I have some medical issues that can lead to dry lips and so from time to time I get really dry, cracking, peeling lips. The worst is the dryness around the outside edge. I tried EVERYTHING else on the shelves. I dont think I can name brands in these reviews but just go to the store and look at your options. ALL of them. I had never seen O'Keefe lipnrepair before and since I was not familiar with it I did not go to it till last. That was a mistake.It stays ON when you eat OR drink. It doesn't get into your mouth and leave a nasty taste. It feels smooth, not slick, on your lips. It heals faster than I imagined, but also offered immediate relief of the discomfort.A must have. Im hooked and will never buy another lip balm again

I get an allergic reaction to most of the “hypoallergenic” lip balms and this is the most neutral, moisturizing one I’ve found. It doesn’t go on heavy and doesn’t leave my lips feeling even more dry after it wears off. It lasts a long time too. I’ve bought over ten tubes of this in the past two years because I stash it everywhere.

This is the best thing for my dry lips. I used to get up every morning with lips so dry that I had to use a toothbrush to brush the dead skin & cut it with tiny scissors, it’s been a ritual for about 15 yrs. I have used many different brands but nothing helped until I bought this, the 1st time I used it, I didn’t have to brush the dead skin no more. Don’t waste your time with anything else. LOVE IT

My lips were always dry and peeling, but not cracked.This lip repair works well. I couldn’t believe how soft it made my lips. I would buy it again, but I don’t need to because it came with two tubes and she lasted a long time.I forgot to tell you that this is very long lasting. I’m surprised how long stays on my lips. The other brands are gone off my lips in no time with this really lasts.

This was surprisingly more moisturizing than I expected. I used it at night and still felt a little bit of it in the morning. Not even Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask can do that for me. I bought this with the intention of using it only during the daytime since I prefer slathering on squeeze tubes at night, but I wanted to test it overnight out of curiosity. I like it more than the one in the jar (O’Keefe’s Lip Repair Night Treatment Lip Balm). The one in the jar had a weird vanilla play-doh smell. Strangely the night treatment felt more lightweight. This one in the stick is truly unscented. Thank goodness! This lip balm has a matte-like finish. I think it could be popular among men because of that. It’s not shiny or glossy. It’s only a tad sticky. It’s not oily. It’s silicone-like. I think it’s the dimethicone. It’s second on the ingredient list. The one in the jar has a slight sheen. My lips aren’t currently in need of repair but I use it everyday as a prevention. Since a young girl I tend to get cuts or cracks in corners of my mouth. I haven’t had one in a long time so I think this is working. My main issue with this lip balm is the oval shape. However, that is something I can adapt to and overlook. Also, it’s a little expensive but it is worth it for me. I haven’t found a better alternative that suits what I am looking for in a stick format lip balm. So far no breakouts or irritation. I’ll update my review in the future when necessary.

I rarely use anything else on my lips anymore. I have allergic contact dermatitis to some scents. That means, many scented lip balms end up drying my lips out even more. I've used OKeeffes Unscented for the past year now, it's one of the few lip balms on my safe list. Texture is a bit waxy. I apply maybe half a dozen or so times a day - after meals and after brushing teeth.When my lips are feeling lip they need extra moisture, I'll supplement with plain vasoline or CeraVe Healing ointment. Those two seem to provide extra moisture but do not stay on as long.

The only thing that helps my hubby’s dry lips all year round, he gets some relief with this chapstick. We like the original one more than the cooling one!

O’keeffe’s is a good brand product. It dried out my lips too much so I didn’t care for this particular product.

Best lip balm ever

It doesnt give a heating effect as compared to when using vaseline, which is good. But slow in healing. Have been having this sudden dry, chapped and (sometimes) bleeding lips for quite some time.

Not bad but id say vaseline does a much better job

The only lip balm that doesn’t cause me to have a reaction.I have extremely dry skin and will not leave home without a lip balm. I previously used a well known brand lip balm for many years without any problems, but unfortunately the product changed to include an SPF and it became an irritant for me. I tried so many other lip balms that would not cause me a reaction without success, (sometimes extremely painful) until I tried O’ Keeffes. Absolute perfection! No irritation, no reaction, total moisture and care. My lips have fully recovered and have never felt so calm. Further bonus is that the product is a great price.

So I have this chronic dry lip condition and it is pretty bad like real bad, people would always ask whats wrong with my lips, it used to be always dry and cracked with white dead skin cell all over the lips. Nothing had worked, used everything from Vaseline to you name it, until I found this. I use it every couple of hours and all the dry skins are gone, no more white dead skins, the cracks are gone, my lips look normal. I am gonna keep ordering this whenever i run out, I hope they never discontinue this product. If you have serious dry crack lips with white dead skin cells all over the lips, i would recommend to try and see if this works for you.For the manufacturer, I would suggest to fix the thing at the bottom that you use to push the lip balm out. Once you have used the lip balm a bit, you can't use the thing at the bottom to circle back the lip balm into the container.
