Hey, That's MY Monster! (I Need My Monster)

This is a GREAT followup book to Original and we LOVED that it was ON TARGET for our Grandson and his Much Younger Sister who is FEARLESS! Read Aloud & They Both ENJOYED! Gramma does voices and they knew it was story bout Them! Love the graphics also such fun & Not scary! Well read again and again like the original.

My grandsons love both these books but the younger one especially loves this story.

The story is hilarious and spooky in the best way, with amazing illustrations that keep him giggling. We’re even throwing a monster-themed party for his 3rd birthday because of these books. Hey, That's My Monster makes a great read-a-loud. With plenty of opportunities to use different voices, and different tones and loudness and softness, this book leads readers on a Monsters, Inc. type story. Ethan is devastated when he learns his monster has left him to help his younger sister. In a desperate attempt to get his monster back, Ethan tries to find another monster for his sister. But none of the monsters that come to visit are quite right, Emma wants to play with them rather than let them scare her into bed. It's difficult for a book to be a combination of creepy and funny, but somehow this book and its prequel (I Need My Monster) manage to do it. The illustrations are gorgeous and delightful with each monster truly unique (I really wouldn't want eight drippy noses myself, but Emma enjoys wiping them). Every class I read this book too, loved it. I even had one class beg to have me read it the next week, and they applauded after I did. That's the first time I've ever had a class do that. This one is truly a winner for that young reader/listener who enjoys a touch of creepiness with the funny.

I am a first grade teacher. This is one of the most requested books that my students ask me to read when we have daily story and snack time. The story is delightful, never scary, beautifully, illustrated, and certainly holds attention. There are several books in this little series . They are all absolutely wonderful.

My granddaughter loves this book so much we purchased another for her friend. Absolutely adorable story! She loved it so much we were reading it non stop. By the second week I was so impressed at how fluently she was reading the story with some of the longer words thinking it was all that repetition... only to find out she actually had the whole book memorized! HA! She is 7 and can "read" the whole book without looking at the pages from front to back. That's how many times she has read it because she just loves it so much. And this coming from one who is afraid of everything.. This book made her not afraid of "monsters" and helped her to see the silly side of make believe "fear".

One of my kids favorite books when they were little!

Im letzten Herbst in den USA erschienen, war es dort gleich vergriffen. Keine Chance es noch im Erscheinungsjahr zu erhalten. So musste ich ein halbes Jahr warten bis man es auch hier in Deutschland bekam. Amazon hielt mich in der Zeit immer auf dem Laufenden. Vielen Dank. -Hey, That's MY Monster- gibt es zunächst nur in englischer Sprache. Es ist die Folgegeschichte von -I Need My Monster-, ebenfalls von Amanda Noll und wunderschön illustriert von Howard McWiliam, das es auch in deutscher Sprache gibt. Es heißt: -Ich brauche mein Monster-. Ich finde diese Folgegeschichte von Amanda Noll, -Hey, That's MY Monster-, fast noch schöner als die erste, ebenso die wieder wunderschönen Illustrationen von Howard McWilliam. So hat nun auch Toms kleine Schwester Emma ein Monster zum Einschlafen. Äußerst empfehlenswert.

This book was an instant favourite! It’s the perfect size, with vibrant, eye-catching illustrations and a fun, engaging storyline that keeps everyone interested from beginning to end. It quickly became one of the most requested books. Highly recommend!

My 3 year old girl just loves it. She chooses the book quite often as a bedtime story. She talks about Gabe and I am planning on buying the rest of the books too.
