Great product but periodically jittery right stick
Edit number 2: bought a new one because on the older one the jitter just kept coming back and in the end it was just jittering all over. However the jitter is back again with the new one too!So I thought that the issue I originally had was because of the small tear in the cable when I fitted. In the end I decided I would buy another - expensive but felt it was my own fault. However, again, after longer periods of play the right stick starts to jitter and fly up in the air. Unlike my first one this does settle down (or seems to at the minute) but I can only assume it’s the way the ribbon sits inside the controller. This is with a brand new kit, perfectly fitted, I’ve had a lot of practice with the first. It does still work and is better than the first. I wonder if it is periodically slipping a bit inside. I have no idea. Anyway, I do use the controller a lot, hours a day.Maybe it is me but it is frustrating when it happens. I am now leaving this review at three stars it’s a good effort and gives you paddles if that’s what you want. But I can’t help being a bit frustrated at the periodic jitter. If you can live with the chance of that then you’ll be fine.Edit: so I have changed my original review to offer a warning instead. I did think my problem might be related to the connection to the pfc rise and it was. Basically the cable is quite flimsy and moving it around a little had caused a tiny tear in the ribbon (thankfully only on the part that is used to hold it in place) - if you watch the video there are holes in the cable where you place it over the pfc rise on little plastic ‘nubs’. Anyway this meant that it was wiggling a bit and that was causing the issue. I fixed it by placing a small amount of double sided sticky tape on the underside of the cable to hold it firmly in place (also used a bit to stick it more firmly to the battery). Now played for several hours without issue. If the problem happens again I will know how to fix it.Things I’ve learned: the bad stuffThe way the cable sits on top of the pfc rise is quite poorIf you aren’t careful it will tear - try not to jiggle the cable around when it’s in placeThe positioning of that cable is vitalThings I’ve learned: the good stuffI’ve had the controller apart around 15-20 times to fix the problem and it’s still going so it’s pretty resilientThis product is actually quite resilient (aside from the pfc rise connection) as i have connected and disconnected it the same amount of times and it still worksWhen fitted correctly it works a treat.I’ve edited my original comment slightly and updated my score to 4 with 1 knocked off because of the less than great pfc connection ,the need for a small warning on the video that this might happen, as well as the fitting instruction video being a little hard to see what they are doing (there is a better one available on YouTube aside front the official one if you find it I’d follow that one)Also when fitting it all back together again the front trim doesn’t quite fit properly. It doesn’t clip in to the new back exactly. It’s a minor thing but worth pointing out. Maybe again it’s just mine.Overall I’d say this was a great product that works extremely well and looks good. I am very happy with it and it comes recommended - just be careful when fitting the cable to the pfc rise!Original review:I really want to like this product but an issue with it is causing no end of problems and it just isn’t cutting it.Installation was easy without soldering. The cable is flimsy but that’s to be expected. Aligning the cable is a bit hit and miss and that is because the board itself simply ‘sticks’ to the battery and there is no accurate way of aligning it - its a bit hit and miss. The pfc rise bit simply sits on top of two notches in the controller which is less than ideal as it wiggles around and as the cable is so thin could easily pop off or even tear the delicate cable. I appreciate you are stuck with whatever you have but this could be a bit more secure and sturdy.Once fitted the kit worked really well (initially). It looks great and the triggers work really well. Programming it to your preferences is a piece of cake. It looks good too. If there hadn’t been any problems it would be 5 stars. But then the problem came. The thing worked well but after an hour or two play (battlefield and call of duty) the right stick/aim started to ‘jitter’ then got worse until it was just throwing my aim up in the air at random. It became impossible to play with it.If I put the controller down and use my other and leave it for a while (or better overnight) and come back to it it’s fine again for 30 minutes- a couple of hours, and then it starts again.I can’t be sure what is going on. It could be something I have done (although it works fine).I will do some more investigation but as it is it is next to useless - which is a shame as I think it is a brilliant product.I took the controller apart and refitted it. Same issue again so I really am not sure what to do.I may buy a new kit (expensive!) to see if it’s just this kit but as it is I’m feeling a bit deflated. So close….

Takes a while to get used to but persistence pays off. White prone to permanent staining
If you use your ring fingers to press the back paddles like I did with the strikepack then having them hovering over this device it's just too sensitive the slightest touch and the buttons press. You're constantly on edge with the position of your hands cos you don't want to press the buttons by accident. It feels like they're designed to be used with the middle fingers. I'll keep using it and hopefully get used to it. I've not been using it long, if I do get used to it quick i'll edit my review. I feel like I can't focus on my game though because i'm constantly worrying about where my fingers are.Edit: Had it a while now, definitely more used to it but still think the buttons could be less sensitive. If they covered less surface area as well you'd be less prone to pressing them by accident. Also the white one looks nice, but as someone who likes to keep my things looking as fresh as the day I bought them, it's not possible with this colour. Whatever material it's painted in has a satin feel to it and even with clean hands it get's dirt on it. Unfortunately you can't wipe it off. It's not like regular sony controller material where you can just wipe it off. It sets into the colour so antiseptic wipes or even alcohol won't clean it. I'd go for a darker one or a shinier finish if I was to order again. The white doesn't match the existing dualsense colour either.Edit 2: So after speaking to Extremerate on Facebook they have sent me out some replacement screws (as one was missing to fit the unit to the controller), and they've also sent me a new rear shell because of the early staining on my current one. My only gripe now is the oversensitivity. I have become more accustomed to the buttons but would have liked it better if they were slightly less sensitive. Aside form that their customer service is spot on. Friendly and they get issues resolved quickly. I have changed my rating to a 4 star from a 3. At the end of the day they have provided a product a lot of us can't do with out since becoming reliant on back buttons from our Ps4 consoles. It's still a new product so I assume through the next few years we'll see many companies and variations of attachments coming out on the market. If I had to buy this product again I would, while availability of this type of hardware seems pretty scarce at the moment this is in a good price range simply for cutting out the labour costs and following a simple tutorial on YT. If something less sensitive comes out in the future i'll probably change. Anyone used to using their middle fingers for back buttons should probably just disregard my review as it doesn't seem an issue for people that do. Just give it a week or so before making your mind up as it does take a little getting used to, even if you've used back paddles before. Some of the issue appears to be related to how slim the Dualsense is at the bottom of the handles as well compared to the Dualshock 4.

Great when they're not broken
I ordered my paddles in August last year, set them up using the YouTube guide and was absolutely thrilled with how good they were. 3 months later one of the paddles became brittle and snapped so I ordered some more.. now I'm writing this review from my second order to say they have snapped again!!Granted the £40 you pay is MUCH better than forking out £200+ on a scuf controller and I've seen that they are now selling replacement paddles on Amazon for £8.I highly recommend these paddles but only if your willing to replace them (which is SUPER easy) every 3-5 months with new £8 ones. Order some spares to save the annoyance of having one broken like I have right now.
