What a phantastic book!!!
There are uncountable books about the Stones. There are very good ones, and real bad ones. THIS One is THE Best One, if you like the greatest Rock'n'Roll band in the world and collect their music and memorabilia. Comparabĺe to great books like Bill Wymans 'Rolling with the Stones' and Chris Eborn's 'Not fade away', Matthew Lee's book not only shows the rarest memorabilia, but also tells their stories. It is an amazing jouney reading this book and seeing all the rarities. Every picture tells a story. I started reading the book at 6 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon, reading or rather going thru' it without any break until 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Without exaggerating, I would like to give this book 7 stars, but only 5 are possible!

The history of the Rolling Stones told through the biggest Rolling Stones collection
There are countless books written about the Rolling Stones, but Matt Lee's book is unique. Matt is the biggest Rolling Stones collector on the planet; the Guinness Book of World Records has verified that fact. Hot Stuff is a history of the band told through items in Matt's collection, beginning from their first performances through the 2019 tour of the US. Matt's collection includes ticket stubs, concert posters, signed contracts, rare vinyl records, promotional items, handbills, tour programs, merchandise, and just about anything you can think of. If an item is a numbered limited edition, Matt has the item numbered "1". The book is also a sort of history of Matt Lee, the collector. He tells the stories of how he acquired some items. The most amazing part of Matt's story is that he didn't start collecting Rolling Stones items in earnest until the late 1990s! That he has been able to get so many rare items from the very earliest days of the band is astounding. Matt's collection is so extensive that he loaned items to two traveling Rolling Stones exhibits, Exhibitionism and Unzipped. I had the pleasure of seeing Exhibitionism - twice - when it visited Chicago. I was already aware of Matt's collection and I spotted his name in many credits throughout the show. Even if you are a casual Stones fan, you will be amazed at the items in Matt's collection and will learn quite a bit about the band, without the lurid stories that too many Stones books seem to focus on. Hot Stuff is about the music and the live performances, the fandom and the "merch." The book is chock full of photographs with small essays placed throughout. Each item gets an explanatory footnote. You'll also learn quite a lot about why some items are so rare. If you are a die-hard fan, well, you probably already know about Matt Lee. If not, you should. Buy the book.
