Ader Sporting Goods Add On Weight 2.5 Lbs or 5 Lbs to Choose from.

Bought the combined 2-1/2 pound and 5 pound add-on weights. They came quickly and were very well packed and obviously shipped by the seller (Amazon doesn't use that much packing tape... :) I read some people saying their weights broke at one point or another. The weights I received appear to be solid rubber, probably with some additional material in the center possibly. They feel good and fit perfectly on my Body Solid G9S selectorized system. I have not weighed the products for exact weights (mostly because I have far better things to do than to determine they are a couple ounces off one way or another, if they even are. They will help my wife ratchet up in reasonable increments from X0 weight to Y0 weight level rather than force her to go up in ten pound increments (which at her lifting levels would be a lot). Might even help me when I hit serious strain levels. The only minor thing I encountered was that the weights were wrapped in plastic and a little oily when I opened them, but rather than rail about it, I pulled down about four half sheets of paper towels, thereby certainly increasing my carbon footprint by an embarrassing 1/8th inch and wiped them down and Voila! They were clean and ready to go! Nice product, buy it, use it and enjoy it.

My cable tower at home does not provide enough weight so these are perfect for progressive overloading your sets. The seamless integration has made my workouts smoother and more efficient. The ability to easily add and remove these weights has added a level of convenience that I didn't know I was missing. While unpacking, I did notice a slight smell and some oiliness, but it's honestly not a big deal. The smell dissipates quickly, and the weights themselves are of excellent quality.

Folks, I have a functional trainer that I use almost daily. The only issue I have is the weight adjusts at 10lb. increments. When pushing hard to exercise at max weight, some exercises are difficult to complete when moving up in 10lb. increments. The Sporting Goods Add On Weights gave me the flexibility I needed to move up in 2.5 and 5lb. increments. Works great with my machine and super easy to pop on and off. Great quality product. Seems to be durable.

Yes, it smells. I put it outside for a couple of days and it was fine. People ask whether this will fit their particular weight machine. As a rule, it's unlikely to fit snugly on top of the weight stack that you already have, because each manufacturer's weights fit together in a different way. It may wobble. Think about how you can stack spoons together if they're from the same set, but spoons from a different set won't fit snugly. My suggestion is to make a mold out of epoxy putty, on the bottom of the new weight that you buy. What I did was cover the top weight in my existing weight stack with cellophane. Then I bought some epoxy putty from the hardware store. It's a two-part putty that you buy in a small cylinder and knead together when you want to start it hardening. I put the epoxy on the cellophane and then pressed the new weight down on top. The epoxy stuck to the new weight, fit snugly against the indents and prongs on the top weight in my old stack, but didn't stick to that weight because of the cellophane. After I let the epoxy harden, my new weight fit snugly on top of my old stack. I also bought a 2nd new weight, and it fits on top of the one with the epoxy mold, because these weights are made to fit together. You'll have to decide whether this amount of effort is worth it to you.

Nice product but would not fit on my Body-Solid - PFT100 Cable Home Gym with 210 lb stacks. It was too wide.

This is the perfect product. It's a shame they can be rather expensive but the demand just isn't there.

The product is quality. Just say a prayer that you get both the 5 pound weight and 21/2 pound weight if you order both together. I received the 5 but not 21/2. It seems the weight of the package sent would have been recorded and can be checked. I have to send the 5 pounder back to get the 5 pound and 21/2, or I can get a refund upon sending the 5 pounder back. Just too much trouble as I still want the product. Just send the 21/2. It’s an expensive product. Quality high, service questionable.

They were nice quality but did not fit my cable machine...I will have to return them.
