This is a good nail polish if your trying to grow your nails nice and strong and healthy looking.

I have tried multiple hardeners in the past. Based on the reviews here and learning that moisture was likely an issue, I decided to try this. I almost didn't because of all the failures in the past. My nails have always been weak and I am hard on them. I garden, create stained glass, use photography chemicals, and my hands are always being washed, even when I use gloves. I try to keep lotion on all the time, use lanolin, etc. but it isn't enough. Things were particularly bad this winter. They were just cracking and breaking all the time - just about daily. I used a Sally Hansen product that did nothing and you couldn't use polish on top of it. Finally I bought this. Since I started using it a month ago, I've only cracked two nails. One cracked today, but it didn't break as badly as usual. My nails are almost looking reasonable! I haven't used polish with it yet, so no idea how well that works. I can press on my nails and tell they are firmer - they do not bend as they did. About two weeks ago I started taking biotin - helps some people. And about two months ago I bought lanolin, shea butter, vitamin e and primrose oil and made my own cuticle cream. I put it on several times a day. I'm sure this is contributing, too, but likely it's all of them together that are really making a difference.

Definitely strengthens nails to help them grow! I’ve used this product for over 15 years which is a testament! I apply daily coats with or without a manicure. Worth the price and lasts a long time, several months. The other brands from Sally Hansen Hard as Nails to OPI Nail Strengthener shred, chip and break my nails.

My nails have always been weak and prone to peeling. In addition, I had the damage from years of acrylic nail use. I started out with Rejuvacoat ordered from Amazon. That definitely helped, but I felt I needed more. I did some research and ended up ordering both the nail hardener and the Biotin thickener by Nails Alive. Right now I use 1 coat of Rejuvacoat, 1 of Nails Alive Hardener, nail polish and then 1 coat of Nails Alive Biotin Thickener. Most of the time I don't do another thing for an entire week and then I remove everything and start over. I do not apply a coat every day as the directions say. Maybe you will need to but I didn't. I now have very long, strong nails. When my Rejuvacoat is gone I am going to try going with only the Nails Alive. I had the Rejuvacoat so wanted to use it up. When it is gone I will try going with only the Nails Alive products. If I see any weakening of my nails I will reorder Rejuvacoat and go back to the steps described above. I do always wear gloves to wash dishes or do any cleaning. I hate them, but I can deal with them to have long nails.

I can notice my nails getting stronger when I wear it.

Been using this product for many years. It REALLY does strengthen and protect nails. You can use it on unpainted nails to strengthen, protect and grow -- of use it as a topcoat to protect the polish. I love it!

First, let me say this is a great product!! I have been using it for years, and always had great results. I have unusually long natural nails and this gives extra strength and protection from breakage. However, this last shipment was a total disaster! The bottle leaked all over the box! Upon closer inspection, the bottle was unusually small. I've been purchasing this for 15 yrs., I know the general size of the bottle! Also the top was much smaller. I believe this was a dupe of this product and not the genuine product! Which is why the top leaked like crazy!! Double check vendors!! Beware!!
