At first I thought I'd made a mistake buying the set because the metal part was not very smooth and they were pulling at the yarn/it was difficult to slide off. However the handle is lovely so I carried on using them anyway because it stopped my hand from getting sore, and so far each hook I've used for more than an hour or so has smoothed off nicely with use. And they are a really good price for the set. As other reviewers have said, the metal part of the biggest hook sizes is quite short so it has been a challenge crocheting with the biggest size with stitches where you need more than a couple of loops on the hook (even US double crochet but particularly any puff stitches) but it can be done if you are happy to spend a bit of additional effort squishing the yarn onto the hook for longer stitches, and certainly fine for arigurumi. If I was to suggest one improvement it would be to increase the length of the metal part for the biggest couple of hooks. I would give 4.5 out of 5 if this was possible, but for this price, definitely worth the initial minor irritation.

I purchased these for my grandson, who wanted to learn how to crochet! The set offers a good range of hood sizes with easy-grip handles. The hooks themselves are smooth and glide through yarn easily, making for a pleasant crochet experience. They were also reasonably priced. I can't comment on durability, as the purchase was very recent.

Great range of sizes and comfy to use. My main issue is with the quality and length - the hooks themselves are not as long as other brands, which is particularly frustrating when using thicker yarns. Also, the metallic coating isn’t universally smooth and sometimes gets caught on/slightly snags the yarn when crocheting. Overall, I would say that they’re suitable for a beginner who’s learning to crochet and mainly using cheap yarn to start out, but I would recommend investing in a KnitPro or Pony set for anyone else. I guess you get what you pay for!

Liegt super in der Hand und sehr angenehm beim Häkeln. Sie ist nicht zu leicht aber auch nicht zu schwer! Selbst nach ein paar Stunden Häkeln hatte ich keine Probleme in den Fingern und Handgelenk. Klare Kaufempfehlung!
