Kensington Orbit Trackball Mouse with Scroll Ring (K75327WW)

I've purchased two of these over the years for home and office desks and this trackball is my go to. It is comfortable and practical for the price, as cheaper trackballs without a scroll wheel are a little irritating. It also doesn't take up too much desk space either. If there it one area for improvement I'd like to see Kensington make - it is that the scroll wheel after 2-3 years of use does tend to accumulate skin cells due to the type of rubber it uses, (this is a common issue with this type of rubber, similar to the sticky issue of some tablet pens). Using a different type of rubber would really improve this design.

I bought this to replace my logitech trackman marble, wired trackball mouse, that i used daily at work before it stopped working. As I'd had my previous mouse for a while I worried this may not be comfortable to use but I was wrong I quickly got used to this and I like how the buttons sit and how the scroll works its a very good similar replacement! The only thing that bothers me a little is the loud click of the buttons which in a quiet office may be too loud or to those who are sensitive to clicking I'm hoping in time the sound reduces!

Love this trackball

expensive and poor quality plastic used in its construction that marks easily and is prone to dust etc getting down the side of the buttons which do not come off easily to allow maintenance. Really disappointed in the purchase which was a gift for my husband who now has gone back to his former mouse and the new one sits on the side.

Paso muchas horas editando video y los mouses o trackpads me acaban haciendo daño. Llevo más de un mes con este y aún no he sentido esa sensación. Puedes configurarlo para cada app y, aunque al principio te sientes un poco torpe, no tardas mucho en acostumbrarte. Lo único que me arrepiento de no haberle invertido al inalámbrico.

Poco pratico.. se sei abituato con il mouse.. l’alternativa con trackball è, ha mio parere, problematica.

Excelente produto. Depois que passei a usar, minha tendinite (devido ao uso excessivo do mouse comum) melhorou muito. Este modelo, com o anel de rolagem, que permite rolar diretamente as paginas no navegador sem precisar procurar o canto direito, faz toda a diferença. Lembre de rotineiramente retirar a esfera para limpeza, pois ele vai ficando mais pesado quando a sujeira acumula.

It was surprisingly easy to get use to. And is also reduced my wrist and shoulder pain from a normal mouse.

Update: Been using this mouse for several months. Quick adjustment period. The accuracy is still great. I did find I had to put it on a mouse pad to avoid slipping - (t is a gradual move likely from each time I reposition my hand. It doesn’t move dramatically. Still love it! Highly recommend. Would not go back to a regular mouse. ———— This mouse is excellent! I have 3 large monitors and a really ancient mouse. Moving across all was cumbersome and clunky not to mention it was starting to hurt my wrists. I was searching for something to make it easier but also to prevent injury. I researched the vertical ones and the trackball. The vertical one seems odd to me but I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to be accurate with the trackball in pointing and clicking. Honestly the ball is so smooth it is easy. I kept hearing how the scroll ring makes all the difference. This is my first trackball so I can’t speak to others but I don’t know how you would use a trackball effectively with out it. The mouse doesn’t move at all you just place your hand on it and it’s all in the fingers - not the wrist. It took about an hour until I was fairly comfortable. The hardest to get used to - for me is the right click with my baby finger and that’s it. I highly recommend this. If you use a lot of data in spreadsheet it’s fantastic. You just spin that ball and away you go. I have “value for money” at 4/5 only because I find it expensive not because the value isn’t there. It is an excellent excellent mouse!
