Latch does not work? The product description says that you may have to move it back and forth. Has anyone had success with this?

Totally worked for me. I opened each box, fully moved the latch "beyond closed," and they work perfectly. Bought 20 of them; have used 18 so far and they're perfect.

Are these the same kind that are sold at Michaels Craft stores?

No, the ones sold at Michael's are for 12x12 inch paper. These are the same brand but a smaller size and only fit the 8.5 x 11 inch paper. The dimensions given for the box in the ad are outside dimensions, not the inside of the box.

why does it take so long to ship??

I don't remember it taking so long to ship. It's been a couple of years since I ordered them.

what are the inner dimensions of the thick case?

I don’t remember. I think the size is given in the description. I’m very happy with them though and the molding is not so thick as to take up extra space.
