Soooo happy I bought this cooker. LOVE IT. RECOMMEND HIGHLY
One of my favorite purchases ever!!!!!! I am extremely happy with this. I have been making super, delicious, easy meals while at work, the laundromat or napping. NAPPING!!!!I specifically chose this pot because 1) it has a ceramic cooking vessel instead of aluminum or other metals (which may leach into food and cause ill health) 2) It has a TIMER! It switches itself to WARM after the time is up, so theoretically your food will not scald. I used to have an old school crock pot which had no timer, and I was always stressing out about getting home from work on time to unplug it. Often my food ended up soggy even if I DID get home on time. This eliminates my stress. Also it is easy to clean! This one, so far I have made 4 dishes and all of them were amazing.I am new to crock pot cooking, so I can't compare, but I think this model might cook a little hot. I have made a few stews on the LOW setting and they were phenomenal. The one stew I made on high was also delicious, but some of the meat came out a wee bit tough . . . honestly, I am just being a bit picky here, it was still super delicious. But I wanted to share that experience and recommend that if you have time to hang around the house and check your food before the cooking cycle is up, you might find that you can reduce your cook times with this model. I might simply use the low setting whenever possible. If you are new to crock pot cooking like me, you might like to know that chicken dishes can turn out delicious without you having to take the extra step to brown anything. That means that the only time it takes to cook the meal is the time it takes to dice an onion and open a few cans. (obviously fresh ingredients are healthier than canned, but if I am having a ridiculously hectic week, I would rather eat a few canned tomatoes in my home-cooked stew than order greasy takeout.)If you need a new cooker, I highly recommend this one.

Simplifies Cooking Process
This slow cooker has significantly simplified my cooking process, and the results are consistently superior compared to using the oven. I prepare a variety of dishes, including beef barley soup, chicken soup, roasts, and many others.Having this slow cooker has encouraged me to experiment with new recipes that I had never attempted before, enriching my culinary experience. Additionally, I find that food waste is minimized, as the slow cooker produces meals that typically leave minimal leftovers. The roast beef becomes so tender that it can be easily shredded with a fork. The slow cooker is incredibly user-friendly. You can set it to cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, depending on the recipe. Once the cooking time is complete, it automatically switches to a "warm" setting. The lid is designed to lock securely, making it easy to transport without spills.

Works like a charm!
UPDATE: Feb. 17, 2015. I have used this Crock-Pot a dozen times since writing my review ... and it gets better and better! I've made casseroles, breakfast dishes, beans, roast, ribs, Mexican food dishes - all just great (including the chicken/rice recipe with the rice cooked in the Crock-Pot)! The stoneware liner is easy to clean and food is NOT sticking to the sides or bottom. Warmer feature is super and it does not appear to be too hot. I found that when a cooking time range is given, such as 6-8 hours, I should probably go with the low or middle part of the range. For someone who actually HATES to cook, I'm becoming a regular Betty Crocker, and even experimenting, because cooking is SO easy with this appliance. I'm SO glad I made this purchase! Now ... back to your regular programming with the original review ...----------------I have an old Crock-Pot and it still works, but is too small for a roast, etc. So I got this one for two reasons: 1) bigger, 2) can program the time and temperature setting. I've only used it twice and, at this point, I am extremely satisfied. Should things change, I most definitely will update. The programmable feature is really nice because you can set the cooking temperature on LOW or HIGH and set the cooking time in 30-minute increments all the way up to 20 hours. Some other "programmable" slow cookers have a few time/temp combination options but they are quite limited - this one gives you total control. Once the programmed cooking time is finished, the Crock-Pot automatically turns to "warm." The controls are touch (instead of turn dials) and very user-friendly. The user manual is small, but complete, and includes a couple recipes. My first dish: Breakfast Casserole (photo attached). Very tasty and the Crock-Pot worked perfectly. There was some extra browning around the edges so I probably need to adjust the cook time a bit ... and you'll have to do that with any slow cooker. Second dish: Hot Sausage Stew. Again, the appliance worked perfectly and the "warm" feature is great because the food finished cooking before I was ready to eat. Keep in mind: you may consider the "warm" temp to be hotter than you expect but that's because of government regulations, not the Crock-Pot.This Crock-Pot holds a LOT of food! I'm cooking for just me so I put some in the fridge and the rest in smaller containers in the freezer. And since I truly hate to cook, this is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen but still have good food to eat.The food I prepared didn't stick to the stoneware and it was super easy to clean. Just hot, soapy water and rinse. You can also put the stoneware and the glass lid in the dishwasher. I will probably never use the "carry" function but I did try the locked lid and the rubber seal is tight and should make it easy to take your dish to the potluck, etc. Just don't lock the lid while you're cooking!Bottom line: the ability to truly program the cooking time/temp ... and the "warm" function ... make this my top kitchen appliance (right along side my George Foreman grill). I'm actually looking for slow cooker recipes to try - and I can't believe I'm doing that! My old Crock-Pot is at least 15 years old and that's why I chose this brand. Because of the "computer" that allows the programming, I know the chances of it lasting that long are probably slim because the fancier you get, the more chances you have of something going wrong. But the price is right and, so far, I'm very happy with my purchase. Amazon shipping was fast and the slow cooker was packed in its original box with plenty of protection.

Wonderful Crockpot
This crockpot works really well. I've waited several uses before writing a review. It is easy to use and cooks as expected. One thing to note, the outside gets really hot. So, be careful handling.

Good not Great
She likes most things bout it as this one has more features the warranty is just so so with a year warranty. Her old crockpot finally conked out it was a Hamilton Beach and only had three settings low, medium, and high. This Crockpot is nice for travel and has a timer it also stays warm after the timer has run out. The complaint she has is High isn't as hot as her old crockpot so roast take more time to cook. I think it is a decent crockpot, but like most things, the quality goes down as it is predetermined to fail so the company can make more on selling you another instead of like the old days where you bought one and it lasted 20 years. If these companies were truly green they would make them last as I bet there are a lot more of these in the landfills than there used to be.
