Awesome information!
This is a great book with loads of information...you read it and feel like you should know all this already but for some reason, you don't. This book is good if you are looking to lose weight, gain muscle, or just eat properly. You will greatly benefit if you are exercising and not seeing the results that you are expecting. As an extra, you get some recipes in the back of the book. I have this book with me in my car all the time so I can look up something really quick if I need to. Before this book, I read alot of books that basically catered to some supplement or some diet fad...this is the real deal. This book will not tell you not to eat sweets, it will tell you to have alot less of them...and increase your veggies and fruits and whole grains...stuff you should already know but stated in a concise, efficient way. If you are working out and feel you need the right dietary information, get this book. This book has got me looking into becoming a registered dietician, you know, those people you pay alot of money to tell you the same thing as this book!

As a competitive athlete, the best book ever!
I had always been plagued with either eating too little or too much in an attempt to keep up my energy and keep my weight within a strict competition category in martial arts. However, this book really helped me. I got so sick of reading on fitness forums about having no carbs and lots of protein (which I can't do for my endurance activities) or paleo or zone, etc. etc. Or you buy the book with so many complicated and expensive recipes that you would never make anyway. This book gave me everything I needed. I always had problems when I would drop down to competition weight that I would lose my menstruation or I would be dying after a 4 hour workout and eat two chocolate croissants on my way home or I would suffer from serious fatigue and injury because I wasn't eating enough. It always seemed like I was dieting on wrong days and eating too much on others. If you have any of those problems, this book answers all of those question - what to eat when, how to eat healthy without being complicated, basic recipes for those of us with busy lives, having nutritious snacks and sports specific snacks without spending a lot of money (she really lists all of this out). How to deal with issues if you have an intense, but varying sports schedule.I was about to spend ยฃ90 seeing a nutritionist, but bought this book and am leaner and healthier than ever!

Super book!
This is a great book for anyone wanting to get their body into great shape, whether they exercise or not. The information is easy to understand. Some of its technical for those who need more details, while there's plenty of charts with basic info to get you started right away. I've tried several of the recipes in the back of the book and continued to make them because they are all so good, healthy and tasty. I've recommended this book to many of my running buddy's who train for marathons. It's also helped guide what I provided my kids to eat so I know they're getting a healthy start to life.
