Hard drive individual storage containers.
They serve their purpose. Safe storage for hard drive units for proper keeping. I have purchased these units and meet my needs.

Sturdy and Secure
I purchased a similar box from another company and I liked the sturdiness of the case and how the locking tab snapped in place. This Yottamaster disk protective is identical and meets all the requirements to store a 3.5" hard drive, without the worry of case accidentally opening is dropped. One reviewer complained that it was hard to open and concerned of damaging hard drive due to protective foam holding drive too snugly inside. Both features are specific to prevent drive from rattling around in case and locking tab is to maintain box locked without the worry of opening accidentally. Foam does give and drives are made of metal so they won't be crushed, so no worries about damaging drive. All the drives I have stored have never had a problem operating after being stores in these boxes. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a secure, dust proof manner of storing their drives. Wouldn't recommend for a 2.5" drive or SSD because they would slide around and do possible damage to them.

Useful For Storing Old Drives
Hard plastic shell with a soft lining, and a snug fit. Great for storing old (or new) 3.5" mechanical drives. At first they seem tough to open, but there's a trick to it. Don't try to pull it open by the latch. Instead, hold it at waist level, push in gently on the lower half, then pull up on the latch. Opens easily that way (for me at least!")

Nice to Have
Nice box. Much safer to hold a hard drive than I had been using.

Solidly built, reasonably priced
I wish it had a bit better (more, softer) padding inside, but I expect it'll be fine since I'm not planning on dropping it on a hard floor from 6 feet up. The latch is very solid. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is the padding. If you're planning on putting these upright like books, you will have to use something like a bookend to keep it from falling over. Guess how I know that.
