Dehydrated peas has a historical significance in food storage and preservation, but reviving the peas isn't twenty minute boil on the stove.Due to my challenge in the restroom, I was on the pursuit for food with fiber. Considering that fiber is the substance that holds everything together giving the body to plants and their produce. I was surprised that peas had a higher amount of fiber than asparagus or carrots. A fresh, frozen, or canned pea has a squish of solid like fluid to it, whereas a carrot or asparagus has a hard texture that softens with cooking. Pease have 6 grams of fiber, where as some beans have a whopping 15 grams of fiber, and a carrot has one gram.Dehydrated peas have a solid struct that isn't easily penetrated with boiling water. Let the peas sit in water with salt over night for softer peas, then cook according to softness preference. Other options for preparing peas for a softer texture can be found online.

I bought these for germination. They in fact work great and have a decent yield. Plus, they were affordable for what I’m using them for.

I will never buy these again. I didn't enjoy them at all. I was under the impression they would taste like split peas... Lies! All lies! They taste like an imitation of pinto beans. That's what made me so furious! Because pinto beans are delightful, but not these. I waited four (4) hours in anticipation to eat some yummy split peas and 'Ewe' 😫.
