This is a great cat litter, and my cats are happy with it. It has minimal dust, absorbs nicely, has great odor control, and clumps well. I have three fiesty cats and multiple litter boxes. This is a great litter for us. I have been using it for at least a year.

This litter is the only one that consistently works for our two cats. It clumps beautifully, minimizing waste. While it is a bit dusty when pouring in, the clumping ability makes it worthwhile. We scoop every other day and have had no issues with smells. The price is very reasonable, so we keep this product on auto ship to make life easier and save money.

It clumps tightly, locks in odor quickly, and lasts a good while with regular scooping. The packaging is sturdy, and the dual-box format (2 x 18.5 lb) is easy to manage and store. My cat Sophie never had any issues with the texture or feel of the litter. She used it without hesitation, and I never saw signs of avoidance or discomfort. But despite all that, I had to retire this product — not because it failed in its core function, but because it didn’t align with my respiratory needs or sensory boundaries. Let me explain. The Mountain Spring scent is bold. It’s designed to evoke freshness, alpine air, and a clean environment. But in practice, it’s strong enough to fill a room quickly — and for someone like me, who lives with asthma and a colostomy, that strength becomes a problem. I didn’t cough, but I had to be extremely careful not to inhale the scent directly. I found myself using a fan every time I scooped or changed the litter, just to blow the fragrance away from my nostrils and eyes. It wasn’t a casual precaution — it was a necessary part of the routine. Without the fan, the scent would linger in the air and make the room feel heavy, even when the litter box was clean. The scent is simply too strong, too persistent, and too disruptive to my comfort. And when you live with asthma, those details matter. When you live with a colostomy, maintaining a clean, breathable environment becomes even more important. I’m giving it 4.5 stars because it’s a well-made litter. It performs exactly as advertised. It clumps, it controls odor, and it’s trusted by thousands. But I can’t recommend it for people with asthma or scent sensitivities. The fragrance, while marketed as “fresh,” can be overpowering in enclosed spaces, and it’s not worth the risk if you’re prone to respiratory discomfort or sensory overload. If you’re looking for a gentler alternative, I strongly recommend the Hawaiian Aloha version. It’s lighter, more tropical, and surprisingly calming. It fills the room with a breezy ambiance without triggering asthma symptoms or overwhelming the senses. Sophie and I both feel more relaxed with it, and it’s become our go-to litter for maintaining a peaceful, clean environment. So while I respect this product for what it offers, I won’t be returning to it. It’s not a failure — it’s just not compatible with my needs. And if you’re someone who values scent balance, respiratory comfort, and emotional ease in your living space, you’ll thank me later for choosing the Hawaiian scent instead.

I have bought every brand of cat litter on the shelf. This one clumps the best and smells the best. I can't tell you how important that is to someone who gets phantom smells. I don't want my brain to think it's smelling dirty cat litter for monthsnon end. This is definitely a keeper

We actually use a different litter normally and have to go to the store to get it but we didn't have time so I ordered this. Worked great very little mess, absorbs great, great price and controls the odor. We use an automatic litter box and it clumps just right for that and the weight is good.

My new favorite clay litter. Great price, stands up to 11 cats, smells good, scoops well, low tracking and dust, just all around great. I still prefer pine but my cats like clay best and this one is the best yet

Como hemos comrpobado a lo largo de nuestras vidas con nuestros mininos, el segundo problema después del alimento, es el arenero. Claro si tienes una casa con 300 m2 de jardín pues ni te preocupas, sólo le dices al jardinero que las desentierre bien o aquellas que estan entre las ixoras o las palma arecas, y terminan embarrándose la mano por alcanzar esa caca que huele sabroso. Bueno, si tu caso es como el mío que viven en un cubo de 10x10, bueno la peste de los orines y caca del gato son muy notables, y no quiero que compitas con tu peste, y es cuando comienza la carrera de las marcas de arena. Primero compras las económicas, que mas bien parece arena de construcción, nada absorbe y nada aromatiza y las patas del gato embarradas de orina y sale con arena en las patas así que optas por otra calidad. Compré por muchos años Scoop away, pero esos terrones bien amazados y compactos se desbarataban si no lo sacabas al momento. No mames aparte hay que estar al pendiente de cuando zurra o mea, así que le imploré a Dios que me mostrara una salida al paraíso y literalmente me llegó la oferta de Amazon por "Fresh Steps" cualquier versión. Gloria a Dios nuestro Señor, y de verdad 1.- Los terrones duran compactos y de alta dureza y asi se quedan, olvídate, comprobado mas de 1 semana 2.- El aroma recién vacías la arena en su arenero "LIMPIO", "si marranos hay que lavar el arenero cuando cambien totalmente la arena" la casa se impregna a Lavanda y huele mejor que tu cama. Si un día quieres ver la cara de un gato feliz, agusto y con semblante de alta alcurnia, usa esta arena, hasta le brillan los ojos, no puedo explicarlo, lo tienes que ver por ti mismo. 3.- OMG el aroma dura meses, Claro, claro ya no huele como el primer día pero ya huele como a tu cama, 4.- La mejor inversión que puedes hacer, es la mejor calidad, se compctan los orines y no contamina el resto de la arena, si se te paso una semana, "No Problema" recoges con Calma con la pala (Compra una buena no seas codo) terrones y popo, y sigue oliendo a lavanda, Para los que necesitan terapia le aplanas la arena a un sólo nivel, verificas que no hayan quedado pequeños grumos, y terminas cuando las rodillas se te duermen. Así que ni lo dudes, buena marca, buen aroma, alta durabilidad, No Worries, Fresh Steps es la opción. Felicidades
