Really authentic flavour but incredibly salty. Need to figure out how to ameliorate that but still excellent.

This soup paste makes the broth taste as good as the restaurants. Very easy to use, used the recipe on the side of the container. The only thing is that you do need to use a very good amount to get the broth to taste just right. But definitely worth buying it again.

Arroy-D and Mae Ploy are the two top makers of authentic Thai curry pastes. They are equal in quality, but I use Arroy-D mostly, for not other reason that that's the brand I tried first and I've gotten accustomed to cooking with it. Arroy-D is absolutely authentic, and I'm sure you'd find it in the kitchens of Thai homes across the planet. I'd be willing to bet you'd also find it in restaurants as well. This is amazing stuff, and you need look no further than this brand as the basis of a great Thai meal.

Favorite tom yum soup paste. Makes the process so easy with no fancy ingredients needed. Cutting out on star because I wish the packaging wasn’t so messy once opened but I’m still going to buy it!

Excellent Tom Yum paste. Very authentic.

All of the Aroy-d products I have tried have been excellent. Also making tom yum soup at home is dramatically cheaper then ordering from a restaurant that are now almost $30.00 for a order, and is pretty easy when using this paste. When ground beef is more expensive than scallops, or shrimp per pound I will clearly order the seafood. It is very inexpensive to make a really nice soup with this paste. I will also say I like adding fresh coconut milk, or canned coconut cream to the soup. The coconut cream gives the flavor of coconut plus the sweetness, and you can use it instead of palm sugar and coconut milk. You can also adjust the amount of coconut milk or cream to your taste. It can also cut the heat and how spicy so I will add chili crisp or chili oil because I like some heat, and can add it to my bowl so not to spicy for others. Once you try this if you like tom yum you will order it again.
