Ethan: 5 (Sand & Fog)

I absolutely fell in love with this book. From Chapter 1 I was hooked. Susan had me begging her. (Yes I begged her via messages) for info. I always let her know what I'm thinking with this book. I couldn't put it down. This was something a little different for Susan, but I have to tell you. Susan did what Susan does best. She makes you crave and want more of her stories. I've been part of the PARKER SAGA since I can remember. I got sucked in with Chrissie and Alan and it hasn't stopped. Ethan.. I love Ethan. He's the good boy, that becomes the DOUCHE NOZZLE of the family. Wait, don't think it's always been like this; it hasn't. Ethan is the type to settle down and love. Only when his twin brother Eric screws up his life again, Ethan is always there to fix things. Not this time. Ethan is drowning and won't ask for help. While the family is all in it to help both brothers, Avery joins in to help the one she loves. Avery- Sean & Skyler's daughter. She's a sweetheart blogger that fallows Black Dawn around. Secretly in love with Ethan, she doesn't let him know. Although she's friends with Eric, she will do anything to help him. Even if it's hurting Ethan in the process. Avery was being a friend and hoped her decision would help both brothers, in the end she's held accountable for lying. This story had me wanting more. I couldn't get enough. Susan did an awesome job. I can't wait for the next book. I'm so ready for it. MUST READ!

The Parker story was a foundation for the epic love story of Christie Parker and Alan Manzone. I loved every minute. well recommended.

Ethan is a twin. He is the quieter one of Chrissie & Alan twin boys. He tends to play the peace keeper and helps clean up his twin brother Eric's messes. He has been hurt many times by him but still is always there for him. Ethan has always had feelings for Avery. He is afraid if he shows interest in her, Eric will swoop in and steal her away. There is a time when things get heated and taken out of the friend zone. They both think the next step is them as a couple. There are some twists to this story. My favorite is what Alan decides to do for his son's. I loved this story! I had to read the rest of the series before thinking about writing reviews for them. I am anxiously waiting to read The Last Guy.

This family has consumed me. I feel like I'm related and tough love is really tough some times. Money doesn't make things better, problems are still problems. Just with money the problems cost more. Hearing and feeling the pain of loss, love lost, lines crossed, lines presumed crossed, privilege, enablement, entitlement, best intentions, bad communication and so much more. This story has it all. Ethan deserves his HEA just like everyone does and Avery is a lovely soul for him. Now I get to continue my addiction with the next story of this family I love so much.

I admit to being a groupie of Susan Ward's Parker saga. I could not wait for Ethan to be released, and I set it aside to read immediately. I was so glad I did. I was totally enthralled with Ethan and Avery. Of all the Sand and Fog series, I think Ethan's story is possibly my favorite. You must read this book today. If you've read the other books, then it's cool to see the little glimpses of characters from past volumes, but this book, like Ethan himself, stands alone beautifully. No cliffhanger, and an adorable happy ending. Susan Ward is a beautiful and talented writer.
