Many years ago, all I would buy is D****cell (aka copper top). They were the best battery you could buy for consumer electronics. Unfortunately they were bought out by other companies and they now leak more than any other brand - especially the AAA and AA size cells. I've had many many devices destroyed by those. I've done my reseach as an electrical engineer and have switched to Energizer and Ray-O-Vac - both good brands.

I am only knocking one star off because they showed up very weirdly packages. The count was right, but there were packages of two, four, and opened packages. They function perfectly, last for a while, and do well in the flashlights. Just weirdly packaged.
