I love making my cold brew coffee in this!
It is simple to assemble for brewing and to disassemble for cleaning. I go through maybe 1 cup of coffee per workday, so this pitcher holds enough coffee that I just brew it overnight once a week, and I'm good to go. Overall, very convenient, simple to use, easy to clean (though something like baking soda may be necessary to really clean the mesh after a while). Additionally, I've used similar cold brew pitchers before that have been similarly convenient, and this has a small but important advantage over them: a rubber (maybe silicone?) ring that fits onto the bottom. This is important to me for two main reasons: 1) I'm less worried about it slipping and falling over in the refrigerator. 2) With this and other brands, sometimes I twist the top with the spout too hard during reassembly and it can be difficult to unscrew for cleaning. This ring provides a good rubber grip to make unscrewing the parts much easier, and there's no chance of losing my grip on it and accidentally sending the very breakable pitcher flying off. Cheers, Willow & Everett! Note: After checkout, in my order invoice, the thumbnail image for this item was a very different, slightly cone-shaped coffee brewer. I was worried about this. I don't know if others saw, or will see, the same thing when they order it. It may have been someone's mistake or a computer glitch. But the item I received was just what I wanted, as seen above, straight cylindrical shape with a black top with spout/handle.

Using it every day
I'm really enjoying this coffee maker and the delicious cold brew coffee I can make with it. The design is simple but it has everything you need. I prefer the look of this one with the glass and metal to other models with plastic. Very reasonable price also. I've had it for a couple weeks now and I'm making a pot of coffee just about every day. The instructions given with the pot are pretty accurate. I make it a bit stronger than I would make with my traditional drip-down hot coffeemaker. I've been letting it sit for roughly 12-16 hours before removing the grinds and serving it. I left it for too long and that batch of coffee was bitter, so timing is important. It's been fine when I do it for less time than that, although it's a bit weaker. I appreciate the look and design of this product. The price is great and it functions exactly as you'd hope it would. Highly recommended.

Overall good but the lid design bugs me; also use a coarse grind.
Overall this does what I wanted it to do; make cold-brewed coffee. The mesh strainer core is easy to clean and rinse. The whole thing fits in the fridge and looks classy on the counter. The coffee's good and you can start a pot at 9pm and wake up to a quart of the good stuff. And don't get me wrong...I LOVE this thing. Heck of a lot easier to manage than my Toddy. Now the not-so-good: the rubber flange on the mesh strainer core doesn't actually seal the coffee/water from the outside. The pour spout is definitely open to the air. Also the metal lid that closes the strainer core fits perfectly....to the strainer core. According to the owner's manual, "when finished brewing, simply remove the filter, dump out the coffee grounds and move the silicone ring to the base of the lid. Put the filter away and pop the lid back on the pitcher and store in the fridge for later enjoyment." Let's be clear; removing that silicone ring is actually a little more work than it sounds, and frankly, unless you're drinking fractional amounts of coffee, more trouble than it's worth. I just put some clingwrap over the top, or dump out/rinse out the core and reinsert it. Finally, and this is important - do NOT use finely ground coffee in this machine or you will end up with dust-sized sediment on the bottom of the carafe. Personally I love a little sludge in my cup (I love turkish coffee, too) but you are better off using a percolator-grade grind to lessen the sediment.

A nice brewer...worth the price.
The pitcher is good quality, works well, and makes a decent brew easily. The box says to use one cup of coffee for 32 oz., and steep for 18-24 hours. The blurb says to use 3/4 cup, and steep for 12-24 hours. No grounds get in the coffee, as the filter is fine enough. I may get another one, as 32 oz. is really not enough to have any left over. 7/17 Update...my second summer using this...3/4 cup of coffee fills the filter and I place it in the refrig. door, where it gets agitation whenever the fridge is opened...after a day, I pour it out into a quart storage jar and begin another batch. Clean the filter upside down, using the sink spray. Since so much coffee is used..3/4 cup!..I have found that the huge cans of cheap coffee work well, and make far better brew than you might think for the quality of the coffee...one could go broke using expensive brands, and the inexpensive coffee is somehow enhanced by the gold brew process.

Great iced coffee maker, easy to use but I ended up having a problem
Really like this coffee maker. Easy to use and quick to get it in fridge and making my coffee. I drink more iced than hot coffee, so its perfect. If anyone wants hot, I just pour and nuke it. No instructions on taking apart to clean and at first I couldn't seem to get filter off, but figured it out, just would have been nice to know I wasn't doing it wrong or gonna break it. Perfect size and seems to be sturdy enough to hopeful last awhile. EDIT: I can't use anymore, for some reason it is locked up tight and I can't unscrew the lid to get if off, nor can anyone else. I have slight arthritis in my hands, so it has been a challenge to get it off because it seals well I think, but now I am out of luck. Can still use to make coffee really, but no way to get in it and clean it now, so very disappointed.

Easy to use and clean
So I've been using a french press to make my cold brew. It was working well for a while now, but I found that it was like a one-time use approach. So I decided to get something that will make more than one batch at a time. There were many version of this cold brew maker and I decided price was my criteria. This one was one of the cheaper products with a good rating. I received it yesterday and was able to start the cold brew process in minutes. The whole process of prepping and putting the concoction in the fridge took less than 10 minutes. This morning, I tried the brew after 12 hours of steeping and it was just as good or better than anything commercial. I have to say I'm sooo happy for this purchase. Clean up is a breeze too. 1. Twist; 2. Dump; 3. Rinse.

... of made it 5 strass makes it a total garbage cold brew maker
This product is almost 5 stars but unfortunately the same thing that could of made it 5 strass makes it a total garbage cold brew maker. The quality of the product is excellent, the glass, the stainless steel and it's functionality. Excellent idea, no plastic... Unfortunately they didn't think it through and made the filter too short, it doesn't reach all the way to the bottom. So it is not able to brew the Coffee proportionately to the amount of water you want. So if you fill up the whole 64oz the Coffee is to weak, and yes I left it in there for days, yes if you can think it I tried it. Yes stronger roast and so on... and if you want to make 32oz less water, then the water level is to short and doesn't reach the filter. This product has a ton of potential especially since none of the components that touch water are of plastic. That way your not brewing toxic plastic. Ummm delicious, there is nothing like a fresh cup of plastic that's been brewing all day. But at the end of the day it does not work because of the poor design. Awesome pitcher to serve OJ or something else. But garbage cold brew maker. Great idea terrible follow through in practical design. P.s. got it to work bought a10" cotton sleeve and took out stainless steel filter. Now I can put the amount of coffee I want per amount water desired. I can make it as strong or as weak as I prefer. In other words buy a cotton sleeve filter put it in your mug and skip paying $30 for a good pitcher that barely fits in the fridge. If you still want to buy it I'll sell you mine for $20.

Great Product, Great Company!
I love this product. Upon first inspection I was sure that the carafe was plastic. I complained and, within 12 hours, got a full refund and an offer to not even bother to return it. No questions asked. I decided to take them up on that. Since I wasn't going to return it I decided to use it once. As soon as I took the filter out of the carafe the sound changed to that of glass. A humbled and embarrassed me made my first hassle-free cold brew coffee. 20 hours later I can tell you that it's delicious and easy. I had been cold brewing coffee and then straining it through fine cheese cloth. That was messy and time consuming. This? This is a cold brewer's heaven. And the business practices of Willow & Everett exceed expectations. They could have told me I was wrong. Instead they gave me what they knew would work for everyone!
