Just got it today and used once. I used coconut oil and added butter on the top. It was really good! So easy and clean up was easy too! I ordered butter flavored salt and I’m going to try kettle corn. 3 quart was a good amount for two people. I love my other Dash appliances so I’m hoping this will last a long time.

This popcorn maker makes excellent tasting popcorn. It is better than microwave popcorn and even better than pan made popcorn. It's extremely easy to use and almost every kernel pops. The butter melting feature is nice, especially if the butter is warmed prior to popping in the microwave or pan. It makes excellent kettle corn just by adding sugar. It stores easily and pops very fast. I highly recommend this popper. it is a very well engineered product at a great price.

A cool corn popper. Easy to use and fairly easy to clean. I've seen so many video's where people complain about it not working correctly but it's obvious they don't read the instructions. No oil used, they leave the cap on the dome/bowl while popping. Seriously people read and follow instructions, it's works just fine. My only notes are that the corn is a bit short, I guess do to the storage thing they came up with on the bottom of the unit, but cord should be a foot longer. Also sometimes when I turn on the switch it does not turn on. I have to turn it off then back on to get it to function correctly. Overall a good popcorn popper. Glad I got it for $28 because I wouldn't pay more than that for it.

I did not get paid to make this review. I feel like I need to say this because I have nothing bad to say about this. I had purchased another popcorn maker from somebody else which I know right away already makes me sound like I’m some kind of influencer or something. But I’m not Let me tell you what I personally like about this. The other one that I had looked pretty cool. I like the idea that that thing would spin around and I like that concept so I bought it immediately about a year ago. I’ve used it for a year and the popcorn was good and I was excited to have an automatic popcorn machine. However , the cap that goes on top of the bowl didn’t really ever work very well. It looked like the lid for like a coffee can. So also, I didn’t have a lid. This one was great. It literally popped up the corn. It just looks like it’s more solid. It didn’t less than five minutes. It does OK. I don’t even care it could’ve been 10 minutes. I still would’ve been happy. But for some reason, the popcorn was super fluffy. The thing was strong enough to push the popcorn in circles, even when it was Popped near the top. I did use these bags that you could see in my video. I don’t work for that company either. But I did like how they are automatically sized. I like the oil they use. But I don’t like the powder, so I always put Salt, pepper, garlic, and real butter. But it has the lid lid is substantial and solid and it snaps on. The bottom that is on there is really great. It’s really substantial and snaps on really hard. The only microscopically bad thing is so microscopic. I should even mention it. Is I can’t figure out when I should put the butter on the top to have it start dripping in because it pops so fast which is a benefit problems we want to have. That I don’t know when to put the butter in and if it goes too early, so dripping in the pan and then it slows the popcorn down. At least that’s what it did to the other one. So screw it throw the butter in the microwave melted Throw it in on top after you crunch it out. It is really substantial I really love my popcorn maker thank you whoever invented and created a quality product will always sing the praises of quality products in the marketplace.

Pops thoroughly, tastes great. We bought movie theatre butter salt & sprinkled it on there. Tastes exactly like movie popcorn! It did not burn or undercook. Not many unpopped kernels at all. The temperature was perfect. We did have better luck popping one serving at a time; it seems to cook better. But not complaining. Watching it pop is very mesmerizing & relaxing!

This popcorn maker is so fun and works great! It makes a good amount of popcorn quickly, and the stirring feature helps it cook evenly. I love the clear bowl so you can see it popping, and it’s easy to use and clean. Perfect for movie nights at home! 🍿

I like popcorn - more than most. I make and eat it several times a month. I've had at least 4 or 5 popcorn makers over the years. To me it seems like Dash looked at all the problems of other popcorn makers and fixed them - putting the upgraded version together in this model. The design is better than similar machines. For example the bottom lid for the bowl snaps on easily and is not made of a "stiff" plastic. My last popcorn maker (one of the most popular on Amazon and I'm sure many of you have had one) had a lid which never went on easy - you had to wait for the bowl cover to totally cool down before the cover would snap on and stay on. Even the shape of the bowl is "the right shape" - you can toss the popcorn after adding your butter and salt. The sort of cylindrical covers on some machines make tossing difficult. This machine has a top lid for bowl - so no more having to transfer remaining popcorn to another bowl. just put the lid on and come back to finish it later. Bottomline is the Dash popcorn is "designed right". all these small tweaks add up to a good "popcorn experience". last - it makes good popcorn. I didn't realize all those annoying uncooked kernals was because of my last popcorn maker - not the popcorn itself. On my test batch in the Dash I had almost no unpopped kernals. It seems to make the popcorn faster too. If you are reading this and trying to decide between this machine and another more popular one which is a little less expensive - and if you really like your popcorn and want it made well - spend the few extra dollars and get this one. This machine will eventually die (as pretty much EVERY popcorn maker with heavy use does after a few years) and when it does - I will absolutely replace it with another Dash popcorn maker. Easy 5 star rating for this popcorn maker.

This is my first popcorn machine, I bought the 12 cup one since it’s just for my family of 4. First, there was no manual or anything in the box to explain use of it. Yes, it’s not rocket science to figure out as you go but some things such as cleaning and if you disassemble you should probably have a manual to tell you how to put things back the correct way. It takes a little bit for it to heat up and start popping the kernels, but once it starts it doesn’t stop. I have found that with the spinning rod it doesn’t distribute them evenly- most if not all of the kernels end on one side, and it eventually pushes some on the edge of the bowl so they don’t pop until it actually becomes popcorn and the bowl gets full then it grabs those on the edge again. Another issue I had with it was that I wish it had a timer on it, while the bowl ends up looking pretty full and you flip it you end up with a handful of kernels that haven’t popped. I do worry that if I would have left them longer the fully popped popcorn would have burnt. I think a timer would help because it could give you an idea of how long it might take until the kernels are popped vs guessing if you got most of them in x amount of time and then finding out you still have kernels at the bottom. It’s a handy little machine, but I do think there are some quirks that once you have used a bit you can get past them. Overall, the popcorn tastes delicious and it does a good job popping most of the kernels (it does leave some unpopped), but it’s a good size that it’s easy to store. My kids have also helped to use it, so it can be used by kids as long as there is supervision since the machine does get hot. I would recommend, and will consider purchasing the bigger size in the future since we do make multiple trips to make more.

Al principio dudé un poco porque las tiritas empezaron a mover los granos de maíz a los lados pero una vez que empezaron a reventar todo quedó súper bien. Tarda un poquito en comenzar pero las palomitas quedaron muy bien, el bowl es muy útil para servirlas ahí mismo y no ensuciar algo más. Es muy fácil de usar, solo un botón y ya.
