After installing my first camera system, I was able to record a good enough image of my neighbor breaking my window for the police to actually do something about it! That experience led me to buying this ANNKE system and it works just like the first one, no random quality changes over the years. It has a phone app and you can remotely see the cameras but ONLY ONE PHONE can be connected to the account! You can change the password for the IP camera for better security. It comes with the cables you need and you can extend them if needed. Pretty easy for 1 person to set up. The cameras are plastic but I've installed them on the exterior of the house under the eve and they haven't had any water intrusion, the gaskets and seals must be very durable. The night vision distance is pretty good I can see to the back of my fence in the back yard at night with no lights. If you install a IR flood light you can see anything as far as the camera can see.... and it looks pitch black to them.

Great product, works as advertised. Phone viewing comes included with the product rather than needing a subscription.

I'll be honest, I wasnt expecting much at all with this camera system, but wow am I suprised. Picture quality is as good as our night owl system costing much more, night vision is very clear even in low light or no light situations. This system doesnt come with a hard drive to record, but isnt very much to get one and install. It zooms very well on any frame, and has audio as well, but the audio quality seems a little staticy. Hookup is super easy, if you have a large house, definitely spring for the extra cables, you may need them. Otherwise you definitely wont be upset with this system if you want a security system on a budget. Good stuff

I've always trusted the Annkee brand but have tried many others, this model was easy to setup, sends alerts, easy to configure motion and very versatile. I have 3 separate addresses connected to the app and it's easy to view any location.

I think this is a very good deal for someone who just want to keep an eye on their property while they're away. The quality is 960P which is quite decent to capture surroundings. However, you'll be disappointed if you're getting this hoping that it'll capture license plates of every cars at far distance. The motion detection is good and night vision is also good. The DVR has many features that you can adjust like motion detection zone, masks, recordings,... The Annke Vision App is intuitive and easy to use but some improvement can be made: Make it so that the app has more controls like the DVR; have 'scenes' like other smart home apps;... THIS IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE: the difference between a 4CH, 8CH and 16CH is the quality of recorded videos. I figured this out because I bought a 4CH and upgrade to an 8CH. This is not mentioned here on Amazon but mentioned on their website. The 4CH gives you more video quality over the 8CH and 16CH. You can record 960p 30fps for all cameras which is a huge difference compare to 960p 12fps on the 8CH and 16CH. Also if I remember correctly, the 4CH also allows you to change the quality of recorded videos to "best quality" whereas you're stuck with "normal" for the other 2 which is a little bump in video quality aswell. SO, basically if you go with 4CH you'll get quality over quantity and vice versa if you go for the 8CH or 16CH. Just something to keep in mind if you're deciding wether to get a 4CH or higher.
