Wera makes the best hand tools, hands down. I had to have these to add to my collection of hand tools by Wera. The color coordination and machining tolerances are perfect. Very easy to use and do not slip. Great addition to my hand tool collection.

I’ve tried countless other sets of Allen and I always end up breaking them. I use these in industrial setting daily. They’re the only set I’ve had that hold up.

Two significant things about this item and this seller… Both are of the highest quality. The tools are heavy and have great strength. The heft of each wrench lets you know that you’re holding something significant. The seller put a note in the box explaining nuances and details of the tools and of the vendor. I appreciate that. I will mark this vendor and go there first the next time I buy.

The best/highest angle ball nose Allen wrench available. Excellent hand feel.

I have used a lot of hex keys over the years and these are not like the rest. A normal hex key is just flats, so it loads up on the corners of the screw and that is where things round off. Wera's Hex-Plus profile has a bit of concavity to it, so it grips across more of the screw. The payoff is real: it is nearly impossible to strip a hex screw with these unless the screw was junk to begin with. The ball ends bite and hold their angle better than any other ball-end key I have used, which matters when you cannot come at a screw straight. The color-coded sleeves alone changed how I work, because without color it is always the third key you grab that turns out to be the right size. The holder is well made and I have not had one wear out or break. Two small gripes, neither a deal breaker: the keys can get tight to pull from the holder after a lot of use, and the printed sizes wear off over time, though the color stays. These are buy-once tools. One tip: get this version with the clip holder, not the one that ships in the oversized pouch.

Buy once cry once. These are fantastic. Only real complaint is that the metric and imperial kits share coloring, and at least the tiniest wrenches are interchangeable in the kits. Wish they had some better way to distinguish between.

These WERA allen keys are absolutely amazing. Been using this for over a year now and they are holding up really well. I like that the size of the allen key is written in big letters on it, and of course the color coding is great when they're scattered on a table. Solid value and I would purchase these again, except I don't think they're breaking on me anytime soon. I actually prefer using these over my metric WIHA set which was way more expensive. These feel a bit more ergonomic in my hand.

This brand was recommended to me by a friend, and when it came time to purchase a new set of allen wrenches I went with Wera. I was immediately attracted to the girth and weight of these tools. They feel good in the hand and are a pleasure to use. But. There are a few problems. First, the plastic holder they come in is a POS. The hinge seems flimsy and likely to break, and the tools are maddeningly difficult to remove. I found myself avoiding this set in favor of my older worn out tools just so I didn't have to wrestle them free. I finally chucked the d@mn things when I found that Wera offers a ballistic nylon holder for these wrenches. Not available on Amazon as far as I can tell. I found them at Chadstoolbox.com They are still not perfect. Bulky and a bit awkward to store and carry, but far easier to use. Second, for reasons I struggle to comprehend, the color coding on the the imperial set is the exact same for the metric set. Which, in my mind, partially defeats the purpose of color coding. If I still have to check the label to make sure I have the correct wrench, what's the point? Worse, as far as I can tell the size of the wrench is ONLY printed on the the colored sleeve. So if, as other reviewers have noted, the sleeve begins to tear and needs to be removed, you're no better off than when you had that drawer full of random unorganized allen wrenches. And finally, the colored sleeve has ZERO slip resistance. I work in a machine shop. Everything is covered in cutting oil, or way oil, all the time. These tool require a thorough wipe down before each use or they simply slip right out of your hand. Again, this seems like a major design flaw. All in all I like these tools. But I think they will end up in my home garage where the demands are lighter rather than in my shop where serious rigorous work is required of every tool. Hopefully Wera can revisit this tool and update the details so they are more appropriate for professionals rather than just enthusiastic amateurs. Update 8/1/23: I discovered another major bummer with this wrench set. After several jobs where I struggled to find a wrench that fit my needs, I realized that this imperial wrench set is missing a few sizes that are standard in other sets. This set is missing .050, 1/16, 7/64, 9/64, and 3/16 wrenches. You'll have to buy those separately. Only the 3/16 is the same style as the kit. Here on Amazon those 5 wrenches will cost almost as much as the kit did. For this reason alone I would have a hard time recommending this tool set. : (

The are the best Allen keys and best value too

This was far and away the most expensive hex set I have ever purchased. I was tired of the slop and poor tolerances I've measured and felt in other hex sets. You're essentially paying twice as much for these but the tolerances and build quality justify it. I was prepared to say it wasn't work the extra expense but after measuring and testing I can confirm these are the closest to 'true spec' I've seen. For the price though when you lose one (I can't see breaking one) it will hurt.
