Original Samsung Micro to USB OTG Adapter - White

The Sony 16Gb mini drive I use to transfer files between my PC and phone has had problems with the phone making good connection with the plug. Using this OTG adapter lets my phone recognize the USB stick and access the files.

This little thing, keyword little, is quite amazing. I did receive the correct one as stated on the Listing Title as well as the pictures. It's the usb micro not usb C. It is really small, shown next to a nickel for scale, but in this case that's a good thing as it hangs off of your phone's micro usb port. The fit into the phone is perfect. Very tight, very secure, as well as the USB A port on the other end. I plugged it in with a long SanDisk USB flash drive and it was rock solid. Didn't budge an inch while using the phone. Transfer rate is good for smaller files but is sort of slow for bigger files. It transfers around 1 or 1.5 GB of data every minute which isn't bad for smaller files. It took me around 3 minutes to transfer about 4.5 GB of files from a new phone to a class 10 card in a USB card reader attached to the usb otg adapter. Not horrible for what it is. I spend lots of time downloading things on my phone, only to have to pull the SD card, transfer to my computer, then transfer to my tablet. Such a PITA but now I'll use this to send stuff from my phone, to a flash drive through this otg adapter, straight to my tablet through the usb C version of this adapter.I'm buying a few more, a couple in usb C, just to have around. I'm so pleased with it. Genuine Samsung product for sure.

I can't speak for all these turkeys getting the wrong part, but mine came micro-usb male to usb female. Seems to be genuine Samsung and build quality is fine if not great. Connection is snug and works perfectly versus some OTG cables I've tried.Connecting ifi Black Nano DAC to Samsung Galaxy S7, if that's somehow relevant to anyone.

Works as advertised. If you have a phone or tablet supporting the OTG standard, this will allow you to connect a mouse, keyboard, flash drive, or even a hard drive to it. Just a couple of caveats:The connector on this adapter is not very long, and you will likely not be able to use it while your phone or tablet is in a case. This may or may not be a problem for you, but it bears mentioning.If you're planning on using it with an external drive, keep in mind that such devices use a fair amount of energy, which is going to get sucked from your cell phone or tablet's battery! And of course, you're not going to be able to plug your device in while this adapter is plugged in! For anything resembling a long-term installation, you probably want to look into an external drive case that provides its own power rather than the ones that are self powered off of USB.Other than that, it's Samsung OEM, good quality, and works well.

I use it every time I need to quickly transfer pictures & other files from my phone into a flash drive. Very useful device

I bought this adapter so I could use my Samsung T3 portable SSD with my tablets and phone.It did not work.I contacted Samsung and they told me the adapter 'probably' does not pass enough current to power the T3. I bought an OTG cable that does work with the T3, Type C to Micro USB Cable (1 FT), Fosmon USB-C to Micro-B Charging Cord Sync Charge Data for MacBook, ChromeBook Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Nexus 6X / 6P, OnePlus 2 and More (White) so I still have that functionality.The adapter does work well with thumb drives, so it's not worthless. I just think Samsung would make their adapter work with their products.

Works perfectly. Just what I needed to transfer pictures from my phone onto a USB Flash Drive so I could free up some space and take more pictures!
