Easy, dependable and no mess
I needed a way toget ethanol free gas from a gas can to my motorcycle. I tried a couple of cheaper pumps but they both broke after only a few uses. I waited a while to post a review of this to make sure it didn't break too. I've had it over a year and it works great. Easy, dependable and no mess.

Fuel can pump
I really like this product. Before purchasing this pump I was tilting a 5 gallon plastic gas can to pour into a funnel into my riding mower gas tank. In process I spilled or splashed a lot of gas—very messy and hazardous. This pump screws firmly onto the gas can and doesn’t leak—good seal. I leave it in place until the gas can is empty. The discharge hose is adequate but need to move gas can next to mower so hose reaches. A longer hose would be helpful. The pump is a no-brainer to operate. Requires two AA batteries (not included). The pump is of very good quality. It has inherent safety feature built into power-on which is genius; convenient & effective. I am proud to show it off. It fills my mower tank without my lifting of the gas can whatsoever. No splash or mess. No hazardous situation. This is a good buy. I strongly recommend this if you routinely lift a gas can to refuel equipment. A good gift too.

It's great. Works better than expected
If you are like me and can't stand the new fuel cans then this is for you. If you are like me and getting older and have trouble trying to hold up 5 gallons of fuel while trying to pour your fuel into your lawnmower with the new fuel cans then this is for you. No more struggle, over pouring and getting fuel all over my mower and myself. Filled up my fuel tank within seconds and no sore back and a mess everywhere. Just screw it onto your gas can push the green button and when your done just push the red button and all of the extra fuel in the pump line flows quickly back into the gas can. It even has a handy-dandy spot with a clip to store the nozzle. So yes in my opinion I highly recommend this to anyone looking to buy. Only thing is make sure you have 4 double A batteries or you'll be running to the store like I did lol.

Excellent fuel pump, but one thing to check on
This pump is a real back saver. Holding a 5 gallon can of gas to fill my mower (now snow plow) was a real strain on my back. I've had operations and that aggravated it. ONE caveat! be sure to have an older gas can. The newer ones sold have a slightly smaller diameter and the pump will not insert into the can. I have two new ones from different manufacturers that have the new restrictive input guard (easily removed), but the pump will not insert into either. Fortunately I have two of the older 5 gallon cans and the pump fits just like described.. It really is a super auto-shutoff back saving pump. I am really pleased with how well it works. HmS

Beats EPA-Mandated Nozzles
I bought this pump months ago and hadn’t tried it until last night. It was -14° Fahrenheit and I was trying to fill a diesel tank at waist level from a new 5-gallon gas can. The nozzles on these new cans are a nightmare, to say the least, and after a few minutes of pouring manually I had only gotten about a gallon poured into the tank with a bunch of leakage on the ground and on my shoes. I was thinking about transferring an older, more usable nozzle from another gas can when I remembered I had this pump. After several minutes of searching I found some good AA batteries and installed them in the pump. After fighting to tear the built-in filter out of the gas can, I screwed on the pump and locked the nozzle right onto the tank I was trying to fill. I hit start and within seconds the pump had already transferred more diesel than manually pouring had transferred in minutes. The tank was filled in no time and clicked off automatically when it was done. It was the easiest thing ever. What amazed me even more was that the lines on the pump were still perfectly flexible even in -14°F with a -31° windchill. And to top it off, there was zero mess. That’s a good product. If it keeps performing this well I’ll be recommending it to everyone, and probably even buying it as a gift. Now that I think of it, this will be perfect for my senior dad. He’ll love it.

Big Problem
I purchased this Deway fuel transfer pump 2 years ago. It has been great, so convenient to use with my rider mower and it worked well. Until today. I woke up early this morning smelling paint thinner or something in the air. Couldn't imagine what it was. I went out to the garage and the odor was horrific. I heard a noise and discovered the pump had turned itself on. It was attached to a 5 gallon gas can, it had emptied about 3 gallons of gas that remaining in the gas can. I always kept the hose nozzle attached to a shelf and it had pumped all the gas on to the shelf. Soaked several cardboard boxes and run all over the floor. Thank God I have an electric water heater in the garage, not natural gas! I could not get the pump unit to shut off. I had to remove the batteries. I don't know what else to say about this, other than it could have been a lawsuit in the making.

What a powerhouse product!!!
This is a GAME CHANGER for transferring fuel from our cans to our boat (we purchase diesel fuel cheaper on terra firma than we can at any marina)! Before this product, it was a back breaking pain in the arse. However, I'm now able to sit near the fuel inlet & pump 5 gals at a time in just about 2 minutes each. This little thing has incredible suction & is very easy to use, just stick one end into your can and the other end into the filler nozzle. The only caveat is that the suction end doesn't fit in every one of our cans (3 of them to be exact). We solved that by dumping the fuel from the can into a 5 gallon bucket & sectioned the fuel from there. If you're on the fence about this product because of the price, I feel it is worth it!

Kerosene Heater Life Saver
This pump is fantastic for those with kerosene heaters. After spilling half a gallon of fuel due to those awful compliant fuel can spouts, I sprung for this. The automatic shutoff works flawlessly and it gets ALL of the fuel out of a 5 gallon can if you tilt it back a little. Pumps very quickly and the narrow nozzle fits into the filler hole for kerosene heaters. Doesn't eat batteries like I thought it would. This is a must have!
