Not a toy train enthusiast, but my son wanted a puffing train so bad, came across this and it has been a HUGE HIT! Super easy to use, and fill. I love the little coal box being the filling mechanism. Great train!

Our great nephew just loves this little train. The steam lasts for a really long time too. The hardest thing was figuring out how to start it and nothing in the instructions tells you. The answer is to hold down the top red button firmly for 3 seconds. We also have difficulty filling the train with water but that’s played just us. Overall, this was a huge hit

This engine is great looking. It pulls strongly and produces steam. It turns itself off after 5 minutes which saves batteries. Hold the on button for 4 seconds and it takes off! After a full year of hard play the engine still pulls well. It is expensive, but it is well worth it. The kids, 1 and 3, love it. I just bought a second one and the new one works as well as the old one.

First one I purchased, I was able to get it to work for a little bit. When it worked, it was awesome! My 5 yr old grandson loved it and it was his favorite train by far because of the steam that actually came out of it and it had enough power to pull about 10 to 12 of his other magnetic trains. It didn’t take but a couple of days for it to stop working and of course my grandson was upset because it is his favorite. So I returned and ordered another. He couldn’t wait for it to arrive and got so excited when it finally came. Put in new batteries and it didn’t work. So disappointing and had one unhappy little 5 yr old. 2 out of 2 that didn’t work. What’s the chances of that happening? If my grandson didn’t love it so much, I’d say the heck with this. Against my better judgement, I’m going for a 3rd one, and only because my grandson loves, loves, loves it. Hopefully the third one is the charm.

Battery operation did not work (I thought). I tried three sets of batteries. I got five minutes runtime each from the first two sets, then nothing. Then I contacted brio and read other customer reviews and learned the trick to start this engine. Press front button and hold for three seconds.

My son is absolutely obsessed with this toy! I think we might have got a faulty one because it works off and on.. maybe a loose wire? When it does work it’s amazing! It can pull a good amount of trains behind it. I’m impressed with the quality.

Pojemniczek na wodę w węglarce jest genialny! Mimo wielu upadków, pociąg działa bez zarzutów. Jestem pod dużym wrażeniem jakości oraz faktu, że ta lokomotywa puszcza parę. ;)

It’s expensive but it’s only Brio train has steam coming out of smoke stack. The steam is cool to the touch so not dangerous for my son to play. It’s a bit slower in speed compared to the other Brio red train we got for my son.

5 stars product. I have purchased some of the Brio sets for my 3 year old child and this one really stands out for build quality, ease of use and the steam effect it really brings the game to another level.
