This is Nihei's best. Silicone life rushes closer to its goal, to accessing the netsphere, to the end of humanity and the rise of silicone life. Cibo and Killy reunite, but at what cost? And is this even the Cibo he knew? They rush to recover the genetic sample of a pure human from P.Cell... and we learn more about the motivations of silicone life and we see the brutality of The City taking its toll on our cast. Few will survive it, but with what the city has taken from them... what is even left? And can any stop what SIlicone life has set in motion? This uniquely singular world and setting from the imaginative artist and writer Nhei taps into his best aspects of creation. Setting, world, mystery... the plot is simple, characters have clear motives with supporting situations that explore them in quiet and reserved ways. This story is the perfect expression of Nihei's talents. No wonky teenage melodrama, no weird back half changes... it starts, journeys, and ends beautifully.

I'm not revealing spoilers. you'll just have to read the book to find out. It it just amazing from seeing the perspective of the world that tsutomu nihei created! this is by far my favorite story and my only regret is that i didn't know about BLAME sooner. 2017 is definitely a year to remember and I'm very happy to have come across such beautiful art, thank you Mr. Nihei.
