I had forgotten how bad battery-power fountains are for long term use. It's been several year since I last had one. I certainly remember now!They seem to only run a few hours before the pump just quits. It'll go again, after resting a couple of hours, but ain't nobody got time for that. Also, if it runs for even a millisecond without water, it's fried for good.Just pay the extra $15, get one with a cord, and try to hide it with fake ivy or something.P.S. I gave it an extra star because battery-powered is probably fine if you only turn it on when company comes.

It simply does NOT work
I bought mine at a drugstore. It was displayed at the end of an aisle and I thought the trickling noise might be nice in my office. It was nice for the first 90 minutes. Then it got clogged or something and I could never get it to work again. Just skip this one.
