Vic Firth American Classic 5AB - Black

My son started percussion and has a practice pad at home but keeps his sticks at school. I got him these because it’s what the teach had recommended for the class. He now can give us all a headache at home with his practicing. These are high quality and well weighted. I’ve accidentally already dropped them a few times on the tile floor and no chips in the paint and dents.

What's there to know? Great bounce for fast sound, fits my hands like a glove, I haven't broken a stick yet and seem sturdy. I've paid more for sticks that broke in a couple of sessions. The price is irrelevant and good if they last

Perfect length and weight for me. Love the black; I don’t need to search to find a match amongst my other sticks. They are not as slippery as my other sticks. I tend to throw sticks when I get going and these I can hold onto. Very very happy I got these!

A good all-around stick. Not too heavy, not too light, just right.

Got these to use for practicing on pads at home. They are lightweight and slick-looking, but I've noticed a pitch difference between the two sticks. When playing on a pad, one sounds higher and the other sounds lower. Doesn't affect playing at all though, it's just mildly annoying now that I noticed it.

Got this as a gift for someone close to me who drums. Quality is not bad, the only thing that I would keep in mind is that the black paint easily chips off, which is something that I expected would likely happen. The person I gifted it to said that it produces a good sound and is happy with them.
