the best scale
This is THE BEST scale. I don't know why I didn't get it sooner. It's amazing to keep track of not just your weight but water weight, fat, ect. I'm on a weight loss journey and this scale has helped me soooo much. It keeps track on the app on your phone with graphs and stores all your information. I recommend this scale to everyone.

Worked fine for almost 90 days
I purchased this scale on December 19. Today, the scale is not connecting with the application. It was working perfectly fine on 3/4. Then I went out of town and came back. It worked fine on 3/11, but I noticed it was not connecting on 3/12. On 3/15, I took the batteries out and replaced them. It worked fine for that day. But it has not connected since. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and I am running the most recent version of android on my phone. The scale just isn't connecting. I have contacted customer service, so we will see what their fix is. This is conveniently outside of Amazon's return policy, but the company has 90 day full refund policy and a 24 month warranty. As far as the functionality of it, it works great! There are a few things in the app that are a bit frustrating. For instance, on the day that you weigh in, you can see your target weight goal, how many pounds you have to lose, your body fat percentage, muscle mass, visceral fat, body water, bone mass, BMI and BMR. Then there is a scale that shows you if your numbers are low, normal, high, or exceed the average. There is also a place where you can add a note. Like I'm sick today, or I'm feeling depressed...etc. But these are predetermined notes. It would be better if it let you free write it. Because you could make notes like "I had too much salt today" so it could attribute for your excess water or whatever the case may be. Also, when you go into your record to see what the history shows for all of these values, it only shows the date, BMI, body fat, and muscle mass. It would also be helpful if they showed the records for ALL values. It also doesn't let you go back and see your notes that you wrote in for that day. So it seems having the notes are pretty useless if you can't go back and see what happened on certain days. But it does a good job on keeping basic stats, These are just things that I thought would be a bit more helpful in the app.The app is convenient for when I go to the doctor and she wants to know about how my weight has been doing and my swelling. I am thinking about purchasing the blood pressure cuff as well because it would be much easier to keep up with that on the app for my doctor too. But to be honest, the likelihood of me buying the blood pressure cuff depends on how well their customer service handles my current issue.

I Rarely Review Amazon Products - This is good buy!
I just simply don't review a lot of amazon products, but believe I should on this one. Here's why. This scale is very affordable, and might seem to folks it's not a good scale, but it is. I cannot speak to all of the body stats (I have not had a dexa scan to compare); but I can speak to the weight. I'm lucky, my doc is very close to my house. On multiple and various occasions, my entire family has stepped on the scale then went to our doc and stepped on the traditional beam scale. It's ALWAYS within .5 to 1 pound! VERY impressive! I searched high & low, read & read about the composition scales; was prepared to spend upwards of $100 on the "fancy scale" but the reviews were terrible. I thought, for around $30 for the 1ByOne, I wouldn't feel bad if it didn't work. We're 4 months in now still works great. We don't have a place to keep it out, we have to tuck it away, so even with moving it each time we use it, it's still accurate. What I like best is that many have do a lot of the recording on the scale, have different users and whatnot, this only gives you the weight on the actual scale (and it's easily visible), and records the body composition stats to the phone via bluetooth. It's surprisingly quick to connect, even quicker than wireless headphones and other devices that their whole purpose is to connect via bluetooth. The ONLY negative thing I can say is the body composition stats, are a bit inconsistent. I've gotten slightly different results, but not huge differences; but I can't say any other body composition scale would do any better!

Good price, weight & BMI accurate, stylish, but wants location to use app
This scale is easy to set up, recalibrate, and connect to the app. I have zero idea if it is accurate in some measurements, such as Visceral Fat, or Skeletal Weight. But I did compare it to the info I got from a recent doctor's visit regarding weight and BMI, and it was dead on. I like the graph tracking feature to help me see and understand theain measurements. It's helped me in my fitness journey definitely. The design is nice. I clean it with a bit of vinegar after use. So far so good. Especially for the price. Anyone with decent vision (NOT ME) should be able to read the display clearly, but that doesn't matter because the measurement stays up long enough for me to get close enough to see. And it automatically pops up on the app. I'm not a fan of the need to use my location for it. I'm in my bathroom, on the scale. Why do you need my location? But, still, good buy!
