Great customer service!
Update 10/18/23: I decided to reach out to the company using their website last week. Heard back very quickly and received a replacement 2 days later. It too had the same issue. Theyโre now sending me one direct from Australia (also offered refund, but I really want to fix the chip). Weโve traded videos of what Iโm seeing and what it looks like on their end. Kelly has been great to work with and I have full confidence this will work when I get next tube. Will update this review again if needed. Product arrived dried out. Unable to get it out of the tube. I pushed a finish nail down the tube thinking I had to pierce a seal, but there isn't one. I saw chip fix attached to the end of the nail. Do not bother buying this, it's completely unusable. I'm trying their hairline fix to fill a chip now, since it came in a bundle and I'm 4 days past the return window...

Absolutely No Redeeming Value
Just so you know, I'm a DIY guy. I've renovated 4 homes, significantly over the years leaving only the more technical electrical and plumbing to the experts. I've dealt w/most paints, caulking, epoxies, glues etc. In other words, using this product does not require particular expertise. Also know, I'm pretty understanding. Stuff happens. Sometimes you get a lemon, etc. So...here's what happened. I needed to repair a chip and some scratches on the hull of my kayak. Did lots of research and decided I'd order a tube of this stuff as reviews on it were decent and there really wasn't a clear-cut winner product. So, I get the product, followed directions of kneading, shaking for 2 min. even though it seemed awfully thick and 'putty-like' to me in the tube. When I tried to squeeze product out it would not come out! Pushed some wire in 'nozzle'..some came out on the wire, thought, OK...good to go. Not so much. Nothing and know that I'm squeezing for all I'm worth so I'm thinking this is ridiculous. Go through the process of sending it back for another tube, thinking...this one's defective. Fine. Get the other one and this morning go thru that prep process making sure I've followed directions, open it up, re-clean my kayak hull and again trying to get product out of that tube was ridiculous. Got a small dab after literally squeezing for all I'm worth. Larger wire thru nozzle...same result. I cut the end of the tube...same result. So...this one's going back and no...am not getting this same product. So disappointed. Don't know if these are the same 'batch' and defective or not. Like I said, I understand stuff can happen but this??? No, this is not right. Time to do more research I guess. BTW...given my experience if I could give less than a '1' I would. Absolutely useless product. I guess the only good thing about is it says 90 day return full guarantee.

Good quick fix, maybe good enough for long term, make sure it is fresh
I definitely recommend this for quick fixes and may even be good enough to be your final repair. I purchased this in both Navy and Oyster White. The Navy worked as advertised, with a consistency that was tacky enough to fill in gaps, but not runny (I was using it on the underside at the bow, so very vertical). The ChipFix product is more matte, and not a glossy top coat. They recommend using the Hairline Fix for a glossy topcoat. I may or may not try that, as I understand it to be very liquidy to fill in tiny cracks and may become a runny problem in my situation. Right now I've totally protected the fiberglass with my current patch and may try a second coat of Chip Fix and the Hairline to finish it off, or I'll wait until the fall and have it professionally done (as I need more fiberglass work done anyway). The tube of Oyster White was olf/dried out. It glopped out like an old tube of caulk, gritty and brittle. No amount of kneading was going to fix it. So make sure your tube is fresh when you buy it.

Great product!
I was actually impressed. A lot of these type of gelcoat repair products are either difficult to work with or do a crappy job. This was really simple. I had some smaller chips and stress cracks. A couple coats of this stuff and they were basically invisible. Even after the first coat I had a hard time finding the chips to give them a second coat. Yes, itโs a gritty type of product but gelcoat itself is very hard like this. **If you want to really make your repair NOT stand out, after itโs been cured for awhile, wet sand with 2000 grit, and then go over it with your normal buff and wax routine as you do the rest of your boat.*** It sands down nice and smooth. Sounds like the negative reviewers were not interested in taking this extra step. There is no miracle fix but this stuff is close if you do some extra work. Oyster white was an absolute perfect match for my 2000 Pursuit. Make sure you study your boatโs color before ordering. White isnโt always white, if you know what I mean.

This isn't what you think it is!
If you are expecting this to become a rock hard patch with a smooth surface forget it. Even when fully cured this has nowhere near the strength of fiberglass and can be scraped out pretty easily. It dries to a rough, almost chalky texture that does not look anything like a gelcoat finish. You can go over it with the Hairline Crack product from the same company and it will improve the appearance of the finish but this is far from an unnoticeable repair. Do not try to compound and polish the patch as it will take on the color of the compound (wax is ok). If you are just looking to quickly fill a chip in your boat or apply a temporary patch before having damage professionally fixed this is Ok but moderate your expectations. I am not sure you couldn't get the same results with any exterior filler such as Bondo or a water putty.

I love this!!
This product is amazing!! It far exceeded my expectations. A good portion of these kitchen floor tiles were covered in dark cracks. I purchased the oyster white color hoping to mask the obvious crack, while also hardening so they don't come loose. The 9 second fix works like a super glue - really quick drying so you have to work fast with the level edge to smooth it out. I worked one crack at a time including some bigger chips. This little tube lasted the whole kitchen and a couple of tiles in the front entry way, granted I squeezed out every last bit. The color I ordered is a little bit lighter than the tile, but you can't really tell from a distance and I think it will blend nicely over time. Please note, the pictures are after a first pass only, a few touch ups in the dark spots would make it perfect! Overall, works great! I would definitely recommend! My tile guy (working on the bathrooms) was shocked at the before and after. He thought I had replaced the tiles while he wasn't there.

Product dried up
Followed the directions and was unable to get the product out of the tube, it was semi dried up. Even cut the tip to make it easier for it to flow out. Will look for something else to repair the chipped fiberglass.

Worked great for our ceramic floor tiles with large cracks.
I used this to repair a huge crack covering about 5 of our large floor tiles. I tried using it on hairline cracks as well, but the tile wasn't even so it didn't do as good a job. As long as the surface is even it works great. Also used it to fix a crack on our microwave outer door panel. This was just one coat, I'm going to put another over it today. Looked really bad in person, right in the middle of the room and now, unless you really look for the lines, you don't even notice. Very happy, and since were listing the house for sale next week, also a life saver. Well worth the price for us, a lot cheaper then replacing the tiles. The first pic is so you can see where I started on the crack to make sure it would work. 2nd pick is before, these are large 18" tiles and with a crack this big, it looked terrible, but pic #3 you can see did a great job helping cover the crack. Be patient and try using the end to push the paste smooth in different ways until it blends in. I tried a few different times until I got a good method down for this repair.

Easy to apply and smooth off
I found the cream much lighter than the photo, almost a white but I've ordered a honey beige which will blend to cover chips on floor tiles
