What a difference
The old lamp was many years old, the original which still worked. The light was poor and new batteries made no difference. Now the torch is as good as new and very pleased with the result. Maglite torches are certainly built to last!. Very pleased with the result. New lamp easy to fit.

Bulbs flickered & poor intensity
I believe these were a batch of poor bulbs. Both behaved the same. Flickered and were NOT bright. I replaced with my original 15 year old bulb that was far superior. I am going to purchase the LED conversion to see if they work.
