Hi. is it really solid top? love the guitar sound, but i see a little seam going across the top dividing it into two halves? tnx

The top is book-matched solid sitka spruce. All better wood acoustics use the same technique as it gives better resonant vibration across the top. If you look at the center seam, then proceed out on both sides the grain spacing / growth ring pattern is nearly identical. Solid top is used as opposed to plywood / laminated tops used in lower quality instruments.

Yahama fg 830 is a dreadnought. other fg830's are bundled with accessories but are not dreadnoughts. same price. i'm a beginner. what to buy?

FG830 etc. is dreadnought size - no cutaway. FS is concert size (a bit smaller). The FG830C is cutaway.

Is there a difference in sound quality between the Acoustic / Acoustic - Electric versions?

They will be very similar in sound - the only difference is that you can plug the acoustic/electric into an amplifier. Thank you.
