It would be nice to have a longer hook.

As long as you know EXACTLY which mortise lock you need, the it is perfect. FYI, there are a LOT of different and very similar mortise locks out there. Double check which one you need.

Perfect replacement part for broken one. Screwdriver and lubricating oil was all that it took. Job completed in less than 15 minutes.

After a few months it started getting to the point of needing to flip the lever multiple times before it actually latches. After about 8 months it has stopped latching entirely.

Called a locksmith to repair broken lock on my sliding glass door. He said they are mega hard to repair. Have to find the exact brand and original company to match it up. Then Found on a Google Search a guy who said its EZ and explained how to match up measurements and see if you have a straight or 45ยฐ angle to pick the right lock. This one, a 45ยฐ one, is the most common one. Dirt cheap. EZ to install. That locksmith is a dummy! Easy DIY project! Highly recommend.
