The product description of this says that it has a Santa & reindeer with holly yet I see 2 deer with trees in the photo. Which is correct?

2 deer with trees in the front & 1 baby deer with trees in the back. No Santa (not necessary). A very beautiful snow globe.

Does this require batteries to play the tune, or does it wind up? We're thinking of giving this to an elderly relative. Appropriate?

It plays "Silent Night" and must be wind-up. You wont be disappointed. I bought one for my niece and one for my daughter inlaw.

What is the holy family made of? Are they 3D? It’s hard to see in the picture.

Yes, they are 3D. I think it’s made of plastic, but has the look of porcelain.

what song does it play?

Celebrate the reason for the season with this Nativity snow globe. It's expertly crafted with extra care and attention to showcase the Holy Family rejoicing in Christ's birth. This musical piece plays the tune of "O Holy Night" each time you wind it up. It's a cherished gift you'll treasure for years to come.
